Hello, I am new, both in this forum and with the disease, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 3 months ago.It has been something "difficult" to digest, because I am relatively young, I am 22 years old.My question is: What are the risks of ingesting alcohol having this disease or what can be prevention measures in case of wanting to take?

The risk of drinking alcohol having diabetes is hypoglycemia and prevention measures would be more glycemic controls.

@Garzy21, in case of diabetes 2 (without medication) I don't know the consequences of drinking alcohol.
For a Diabetico1 (insulin -dependent) it is recommended to eat well before ingesting alcohol and preferable to drink cubatas with normal cocacola (that is, sugar) and go by glying controls.Always eat cookies or yogurt before bedtime.
