Diabetic retinopathy

Hello!
Someone who has suffered "weak" diabetic retinopathy felt something in his eyes before being diagnosed

I've been fatal for a season.I can't get over and I see how black spots when I look at a white park.At night I have lost a lot of vision.I have been reviewing a year and a half or two without a review and I have asked for an appointment and they give me by the end of June or July (they have to send me a letter). In one of the eyes I feel like pressure, but I think that is due to a hair that grows inside ...

On the other hand I have a season with frightful migraines and I think it is for not seeing well that I am forcing my eyes.I don't know if I'm getting obsessed or I should take it seriously and get me to advance the appointment or go to the emergency room.To what extent is it dangerous not to treat it in time in case it had something?

Well, before the doubt I would not wait for June or Julio, I would go to see me even if you were private, do not leave it ...

I have a private insurance and the eye background is to take a picture and see how the capillaries are without delaying the pupils or na !!!I guess if you have something serious if it will be seen, but I don't finish convincing me.I think if it were the same, in the SS they would not be 2 hours per patient ...
The same when I return to Zaragoza I approach the hospital

Focusing and others do not know what to tell you about the spots, if you are easier to see in light or on clear areas such as the sky or the PC screen with a clear background it is about my ophthalmologist of hardness in the lens... They are like a kind of black spots or floating mosquitoes that move along with the eye movement, generally 50% of the population develops some hardness when they are adults, if they are very serious they can be treated with laser surgery ...
At least that is what my ophthalmologist told me in the last review so do not scratch yourself while you expect ... nevertheless better than a doctor nobody.
All the best.

Hello

With respect to the black spots that you see, as if they were motites floating in a viscous liquid? That happened to me and the ophthalmologist never related it to the diabetes theme.

I really do not know, for the inconsistencies that some toilets do, I believe everything, tb puts a pain the upper part of the eye, just above the conjunctiva, tpoco relate it.

And what is it difficult to approach can simply be a problem of mine or farsightedness (according to my ophthalmologist), at a certain age, or simply the student's myopia.

From real only I can say that I see better than another, without more and for now I have no retinopathy problems.

Also with your hemoglobins, in your case TB would discard it ..

Isn't it that myopia has increased you?The same thing happened to my daughter with the focus and it was that. And floating spots are usually due to changes in vitreous humor (or something), without major importance.I have them sometimes and I am not diabetic.
Go calm to review each year.

Yes, it will be that.Myopia or astigmatism that I have of the two will have increased.I know it is mine, but the issue of view has always overwhelmed me.I will wait for the review :)

Hello, I am a diabetic with severe/severe retinopathy and ocular glaucoma, the spots you see are probably due to the retinopathy you suffer, you should not leave it for a moment, go to your ophthalmologist as before you can, my severe/severe diagnosis is due to not due to notGo to the specialist on time.

Uff you have left me worried.I also got the letter and until the end of August.
How much time of evolution did you carry? How about the control of diabetes?I talked to an endocrine on the phone and told me that with the hemo that I have to have a diabetic retinopathçia, but if I was worried that I would go to the emergency room ... I will let a few weeks go by and if I still rare I will do something

We are not oculists, but a priori the fact that you tell me that you see always fatal, blurred, and that you have checks that you think are attributable to an effort problem when focusing, because perhaps you are yourself giving yourself the clues. What do you call mild diabetic retinopathy?to microaneurismas? The microaneurisms are generally very small and you can be with them years and years and you end up saying them as if they were your hamster or your guinea pig.I carry with two microaneurisms for about 7 years or so.In addition, they come and go.Sometimes you have both.Other times only one. Then the second to greet again ...
Outside jokes, in principle a microaneurism is usually so small that you do not appreciate it in your vision, unless it is planted in the middle of the macula and that is the worst place to have them.
Black spots .... Well, the typical question of whether they are fixed or not.If they move, I don't think it's anything. If they are always fixed in the same place, then it is another matter.

I had forgot about this message. In private insurance they did not want to make me the eye background, despite 24 years of evolution because the ocular tension was correct ... that makes no sense?I know that, now explain it to a doctor of 60 and peak years ...

In the end for the SS they advanced it because I got pregnant and had been in the eye background for 2 years. They did it to me without hardly delaying the pupil because I had some risk to the fetus.Everything they saw was ok.Now I am in them again, I want to make me a background of eyes in conditions since I gave birth (6 months ago) and a week ago I got the letter with the summons by the end of September. It seems shameful to me that I have been looking at my sight for 3 years and that is that they are already 25 years of diabetes ... Ok, there was a pregnancy in the middle, but there are 9 months of 3 years ... and it seems that every timeThey will save more in tests ...

Ah! I had increased myopia, and century seeing black spots/threads and commenting it to the oculist and they told me that it was not from diabetes, it takes a long time to give symptoms

Hi Tica,
I had a hemorrhage after my first pregnancy, 3 months after giving birth.I gave birth in December, in January I began to see black spots that floated in the eye, I asked the oculista, he told me that it was nothing serious, by the way at the bottom of the eye nothing was seen.In March I exploded a great black spot, it was already the intra -retic bleeding that was later treated with laser. And soon, I got in the other eye too, I mean that when they made me laser, they already did it to me both eyes.Symptoms apart from the small spots, I did not have ... the vision had not destabilized me.What is important is that you insist with your endocrinologist to ask you for an appointment for the review of the view, I do not know how it works in your community, but here it goes a bit like that. After the second pregnancy I insisted a lot with the endocrine (due to my previous experience) and managed to control myself shortly after having given birth. It is also true that they want it to spend a little time because there is as a period of "risk" for the retina after pregnancy.I hope I have clarified the ideas a bit.If not, ask me anything.

I was interested in the debate because I suffered retinopathy. They have operated twice from the same eye and today I can say that everything is normal.Tica, you must check your eyes, it is very important to make an eye anchor, either for social or payment. The view is priceless!
I had peaceful symptoms: Night blurred vision, the light was grown to me, like spots inside the eye ... You have to take care of guys!

Chic, I want to get pregnant and worry that I complicate my eyes that are now controlled.I have thought about opting for caesarean section to avoid efforts that can cause a microaneurism.
Do you know how pregnancy in sight or retinopathy affects?

Hello!

In 2005 they told me that I had non -proliferative retinopathy, what a disgust I took!Xq you never think it's going to touch you.Until then he had no good control, so after so many years of evolution was the minimum that he could have as a complication. The ophthalmologist explained that no laser treatment was needed and that with good control could stabilize it and that it was not more, but well ... in this diabetes for the simple fact of the years of evolution, complications may appear. And today, 8 years later, it remains the same, it has not gone more, yes with hemoglobins below 7.
My question was when I was pregnant, I was afraid to get worse and ask the ophthalmologist. He told me that it was dangerous, yes, because in pregnancy it was difficult to maintain stable glycemia, but that ahead ...
I became pregnant and we have been around 5%, and during the 9 months they made me two eye funds and everything remained well, well stable. So I happy.Next month I have to make me another background, six months after having given birth, I hope everything is fine because I continue with the hemo well, but who knows ...
Boira, what you say about caesarean section, I hadn't heard it even the gynecologist told me.My pregnancy ended in caesarean section but not because of retinopathy and avoid efforts, but because they induced me and did not delay enough. In addition, in the S.S.They try as much as possible that it is vaginal and I think that if they saw that a retinopathy can be complicated they would not hesitate to make a caesarean section.

magicaaa ... hahaha
A year before pregnancy I was preparing, until I get a 5.9 hemo.I got pregnant and there they already went to 5-5,3.I am not going to tell you that it was easy, because the control I had over myself and the headaches that I had were exaggerated, the glycemia measured me about 8 times, it did not allow me a post of 150, Uff was high.... but it had to be done so that my girl grew and was born healthy and so.Wow, if I stay pregnant again I would worry so much or more.
