@Luvi I agree with @Fer I am not limited to looking for people with diabetes.I understand perfectly that it costs you to meet new people, when one is a student it is super easy to find people to go out but when you start working and the adulthood is entered the thing is complicated a bit.Anyway it is not impossible and I believe that the attitude is very important. You say that without a smile, nobody approaches and that without leaving home it is impossible to meet people, you are telling you everything ... Look my brother -inshe.He aim to a group of singles that he found online. He likes mountain activities a lot and was that type of activities that he used to point until he met the bride in one of them.
And finally, I think people don't know too much about diabetes so they usually give them the importance that we give it.If you do not want to "scare" girls with diabetes, it deals with the subject normally and sample that is something that you simply have incorporated into your routine.

Hi @xavi, being a diabetic is a whore but until you accept what you are you will never be able to be comfortable with yourself.I am a diabetic since the age of 9 and I have 34, I have passed through all kinds of phases, I have never stopped clicking but I have mistreated my body for a long time for not accepting my condition, and I do not mean to eat sugar, that neverI have been a problem, I mean still worse, but the truth is that I have never feel as unhappy as you comment, what I can tell you is that since I decided to take the reins of the situation, take care of myself and seeThat the results were favorable, I am happier as far as diabetes is concerned.
Regarding the issue of insulin, I think like you, surely there is some kind of cure but for monetary interests of pharmaceuticals and governments do not come to light but the reality is that if insulin did not exist we would be dead.
Everyone has to live with what has touched him, so are the rules of the game, and it is clear that each one carries a cross and for each one his cross is the greatest but under my humble opinion, there are very worse things than thediabetes.
I send you a hug and a lot of encouragement, I hope that little by little you are better found!:)

In my family we are three generations of diabetics, and in the end you learn to accept it.When I was little, my diabetic was my grandfather.Later he was diagnosed with my father, then my uncle. And guess who has been the last one (it was seen coming).Of course, it has been progressive, my grandfather and my father with insulin, my uncle and I with pills.

In the end what you have to do is learn to live with it, find something that helps you see it as normal, because for you it is normal now.Do you know how I do it?I dedicated myself to creating a blog with diabetic dessert recipes.I did it to be able to make desserts to my father that he would like (because he always complains that what he finds without sugar in the super does not like), and the truth is that now I like and I have even fond of pastry.I always try to make sugar -free desserts, with skim milk, integral flour, few carbohydrates ... I am asking my doctor to help me, and try to adapt recipes of a lifetime. It may seem nonsense, but it motivates me, it helps me to take it better. It is something you can do too, look for something that has you entertaining and motivated, surely there is something!

You do not have to sink, unfortunately the diabetes at the moment does not cure, so it is best to learn to live with it.Sometimes he is sacrificed, but he thinks that there are also people who have to be other diseases, or not drink milk, gluten products ... Everyone has their own.

I hope you encourage and smile a little :)

@Xavi and "Luvi is not necessary to be diabetic to go through those experiences.

I have also had them before debuting and it is one who has to leave the "hole" and costs .... much, a lot ... but it is done because we are "social animals" and it is a law of survival in theJungle of this society in which we live.

Fear of loneliness we all have it, especially those who have suffered and fallen years later.
It took me a long time to react last time, 4 years ... but I left with the help of a psychologist and with great personal effort, contacting people on a website of activities (the anonymity of Definibe) because I had no social network, house-Work, job-job.That was my world. From there to another network and now I have signed up for the association of diabetes of my city. The people in my environment listen to me but do not understand it.

My life like many has not been easy, my parents have the slogan "all passes to my daughter" and you can't imagine how many negative things have happened to me and they will have to happen yet ...

Looking back, you realize that in the end, it is not strong as a person, it is pure survival.

The problem is that from the diabetes at the moment it does not come out, there is only resignation and impotence.

Or you throw many eggs or have you.

@Arotorias that's why he said "survival" because when you are between the sword and the wall, no one (and I say no one with knowledge of cause), we want to die.

Diabetes does not come out because it does not cure and require sacrifice and control, but it can be "well" if you have external support and above all with desire to move forward. If you lock yourself in yourself, you are undermining day by day and end up in depression and even letting you die.
I think it is good to let off steam and sign up for associations or groups where they listen to you, support you because "they are like you" and there is no one who understands you better than the one in your very situation.

And mine, but while that arrives there are people who are not able to accept it and need support for their day to day; Each person is a world and faces life as they can.

Yes but the reality is that this are lentils. It is what we have had to live and really, honestly, I think there are really horrible things in the world to be so bad about suffering diabetes. It is clear that each one carries their cross and that for each one its cross is the greatest but in this case, I do not think it is something so terrible, I really do not know any diabetic who despite it so much to be ...I also want a cure, I want to not have to prick or measure the sugar or to weigh the food but look, virgin virgin that stays as I am !!

Hi Xabi, I am 40 years old and I have barely 3 years as a diabetic so I can contribute little about experiences with this disease in tow.And advice the righteous that each is their world and their circumstances.
It is shit (like all diseases but it is not of the worst or far) and it is a pQ pain is there 24h of the day prepared to fuck if you get you get you, but I am clear to 2 things:
1) In this life it is not worth staying licking the wounds (and you cannot change your diabetic condition, better to get the idea that it goes for a while and as you have commented), you have to look for support, illusions, challenges, friends, friends,Family, hobbies, projects ... call it as you want but something that throws the car and helps you get up every day and move on.It is not worth hiding in diabetes to stay at home (I'm not saying that you do it, you don't understand me badly). It is not easy, sometimes in fact it is very difficult, but something is made in the end somewhere. You have to resist, get up and insist.
2) In these almost 3 years that I have been diabetic, I have proven that the difference in times that I do regularly to which it is not brutal. If I do not play sports, I have to take care of food much more, I have to wear a lot more insulin and still the controls are always worse, much worse, which leads me to worse mental states (more irascible, angry, less sociable, somethingeven ...).When I do sports regularly, diabetes is not so protagonist in my life, I still have to always be aware of it, but being well controlled ceases to be so much trouble, at least mentally. That is why I would encourage you to practice sport on a regular basis, no matter which, the simplest allows you to be regular and practice it day and not at least day.Consider it a part of the equally important treatment to click insulin. Also if you get that in the end you like to practice it will also be a mental release and even help you at a social level. If you have had bad experiences with sport or you are afraid of practicing it for bad control I encourage you to get in touch with some team of people with diabetes that do sports (type DT1Team or Teamone for example). You will find people of all kinds wanting to help, each with their life and their way of doing sports, no matter the level or circumstances. It helps not to feel alone and is very motivating to move forward, I attest to it.

Much encouragement and hopefully write back here in a short time telling that you no longer see life so gray.Good luck and strength !!!A hug.

Hello, good afternoon.I've been registered in the forum for a while, but I had only been a reader. This post has surprised me a lot.
Some users give you encouragement, they even sympathize ...
I share Oswash's opinion.
I am a specialist in mental health, and diabetic for 18 years. So I speak with knowledge of cause.
A type I diabetes makes you aware of your body.In health it is always said that young people are very difficult to sell them health, since they have it.This causes you to find patients of 30-40 years (non-diabetic) who have not taken care of in their life, and who now have hypertension or a coronary problem.Explain to one of that age what carbohydrates are.Agree that diabetes is a whore, but makes us aware of the importance of taking care of it.Of carrying a balanced diet and practicing physical exercise. If you saw the psychiatry patients, you would thank you for being diabetic, and not having a pathology.
With diabetes you can do the same things as others, the same.
If you do not do them or blame for the diabetes of your life, I recommend visiting a psychologist, really.
All the best.

A psychologist is going to give you any more guidelines, it will not be your friend, it will not be with you to go out, it will not go with you on vacation, etc ... It seems to me that @ruthbia has said it, it is very difficultOnce entered the mud (for whatever reason, not acceptance of diabetes, not normalize it, not share it, etc.) get out of there without first (we are all aware of it, the will of oneself), second and veryImportant external help and not of a psychologist, but rather of a friendly hand.

If you read everything, tell me about all those who have written and have read it have seemed that real friendly hand, someone close to where you lived ???I already answer you 0. Let's not go from worthy diabetics for just writing a comment, today's life is that, a keyboard and a screen and not a personal offer, but this is life itself, in which one can helpTo all except himself.

I hope that none feels offended, a greeting

Already, but since we are not an NGO here, but people, and each one with their problems and concerns, I give the most reasonable option.Pay to listen to you and give you coping strategies.Committing oneself serves little.

To me in my work, unfortunately I have to endure, listen, see and hear many stories of the people and not for that reason I ask for an increase.I try to solve or help.It is clear that this is like the one who clicks a wheel with the car, this one that is offered to help and who says why you do not call a crane. It is seen that many times the professional needs more treatment than the patient himself. All the best

@Luvi I am reading you and I see that your greatest complaint is that none of the forum is offered to meet us in person and leave from time to time and I think here with your age we have many foreros, because you take the initiative!!There is one day at an hour at a point where people who live nearby can go. In a shopping center for example.I think someone would go.Why don't you try???Luck. In life it is best to have illusions, why don't you try???A hug.

@Aliciaalicia, what I mean is that the person who started this post, commented on a situation, in my opinion nothing pleasant and with which I identify. That everyone has encouraged and advised, but no one has offered to stay. That surely that would appreciate it and help more.
