@"Yaizaj" I do not lose weight, I keep myself but as a lot of quantity.By putting a lot of fat, many calories are easily eaten.Think that fat is 9kcal by grams while hydrates and proteins without 4kcal per gram.And I, like enough cream in cream (the apple, with peanut cream for example) and that has uploaded the calories.But well everything is trying and if you see that you lose weight you are getting more hydrate than you see that less affect you to glucose.

@"Gindillo" If you understand English, the best is the book of Dr Berstein.It is the reference is low hydrates diets and his book is very complete.Not only speaks of food, it touches all diabetes related issues.He has type 1 diabetes and is also a doctor with a lot of experience treating patients with diabetes.
If you don't know English there is a chapter translated online.In the blogs that I put later there are several tickets that talk about their book.

Hello, I have type 1 diabetes for 17 years and a few days ago I have decidedBasal insulin down a little and the bowling of the food too, but the third or fourth day without making any change in food I have suddenly left normoglycemia and without eating just hydrates my glycemia are between 140 and 240 more less.I am running and lowers me but without normalizing the levels.Does anyone know what is happening to me?What am I doing wrong?Has it happened to you?I read a lot about how well the low carbos diet is going to many diabetic people and I don't understand why 3 days have worked for me.

Hello, I've been with DT1 for a short time and I take about 120 gr ch daily and I do very well so far.Here in Germany it is considered short in CH (but not very low).Some week I got more on CH, but I wasn't good.Here the endocrine and the nutritionist have recommended me (insisted), that I do sports regularly, which I try not to go down from 100 gr cho daily.

In the forum there are some who have been very low in ch and do well.But if I have learned something reading this forum, it is that each of us are very different.Maybe your body does not carry a very low diet in CH, and your liver is regenerating them by pulling the fats/proteins that you eat.I would consider in your case return to the basal before and gradually upload the dose of ch a day and see where you stabilize.In general, they told me that I expected about three/four days to see how it evolved and change basal and/or diet, because we do something different one day we can notice it and it has nothing to see anything with the basal orThe diet

@SweetLoleta I think it is happening to you could be because not only insulin is needed for HC, also for protein and fat.When you eat high in HC it does not show, but when lowering the HC if.Try to adjust basal and fast until you stabilize again.
The basal must keep you in stable night or when you are fasting.The rapid should make you eat at 2 hours in rank again.With low diet in HC it is normal that you do not notice up with meals.
There are also people who use regular insulin to cover the protein.
If you are not already in the Facebook group "Diabetes Low in Hydrates" I recommend that you enter.There are many people following a low diet in HC and it is possible that someone has happened to someone.In my case it did not happen to me, but I was gradually reducing the HC, not at once.

It is because of fat and protein.I left the diet low in HC for that reason, my insulin needs were the same as eating a "without abuse" diet in HC.(My goal was to reduce insulin and weight doses)
Not having HC, the body metabolizes fat and protein in carbohydrates and glymia rises at 4 hours or so having eaten.

I have a type 2 diabetic partner who is with 20GHC ketogenic diet a day, under endocrine control, without protein and fat for this reason.He has lost about 18kg, has been left with an unhealthy appearance (not only weight, the color of hectnethat are indicated.It continues with a limited diet to torreznos nuts, some egg and little else.No milk, neither meat nor fish nor fruits nor vegetables, just a yogurt at night, that is its source of HC.

Too much sacrifice for me and I still think that the extremes are not good, or 100% ketogenic or 100% based HC.

@Ruthbia I would tell your friend to change endocrine or seek a nutritionist specializing in ketogenic diet because the one you describe is a very poorly planned ketogenic diet.Ketogenic diets have to include fat, protein and vegetables not very high in HC (practically all).To the body if you do not give HC, you have to give fat as a source of energy and the protein is essential not to lose muscle and repair tissues.
Surely it was better making a well planned ketogenic diet (fat+protein+vegetables) although controlling the fat a little so that your body burns you.But the protein is essential not to lower it on your needs (that depends on the sport you do too).Weight loss would be slower but I would not have all the problems you describe.If you want to accelerate the thinning process more then it puts all the sport you can and some fast, but removing protein seems to me a barbarity.
In addition, mediation is not normally eliminated at DT2, the dose is lowered as the body recovers insulin sensitivity.That is being based on the glucose.I do not understand how some endocrine do these barbarities.
On this is the book "The Code of Diabetes" by Janson Fung that explains it very well and is one of the greatest experts in this.He has been trying DT2 for many years and reversing the disease with a low diet in HC and fasting.But it is not something day to another, there are people to whom it takes more than 1 year.In the book it has several cases and some in a few week leave the measurement, but others take them much more.It all depends on the state on which it is part.And there will be cases in which the medication cannot be left if the pancreas is already very damaged.

It started with a equlibraded keto diet but the protein and fat raised, so it has been suppressed.
He has been 9 months of probatines with his endocrine.
He had ketones for several weeks until he balanced.And now it is in about 20G HC.
All for not taking a pill at their fifty -few.
He told me that a specialist in Ceto diets.
I personally seem healthy and taking an antidiabetic is not being super medicated.

What you say about ketones is normal at the beginning of a keto diet, although they should not go from normal ranges (within ketosis).But the first days until the body adapts are usually somewhat higher than once adapted.The first days until they are detected in urine because those that are not used are eliminated, once the body adapts, it adjusts the production to what it needs and should barely be eliminated by the urine.Sometimes urine tests come out or even if you are in ketosis, to be sure you always have to measure in blood.
Up to 5 mmols in blood is totally normal and nothing happens whenever the glucose is normal and there is no dehydration (by gastroenteritis or other disease).In diabetes he is always afraid of ketones, but ketones are only a problem when they go from normal ranges due to the absence of insulin.Pretending to have ketones to zero or almost with ketogenic diet makes no sense and is impossible (at least in blood).Precisely what is sought with ketogenic diet is that the body produces them because they are the main source of energy when it is in ketosis.For example, the brain can use the majority of the energy that needs ketone bodies instead of glucose.There are very few cells in the body that can only use glucose and for those, if you do not take it with food, it is produced by the liver.

Blood ketones:

Level 1: almost null levels after meals: 0.1 mmols
Level 2: Very low levels, after night fast: 0.3 mmols
Level 3: LCHF diet or ketogenic diet: 0.5 to 5 mmols
Level 4: 3 weeks fast: 5-7 mmols
Level 5: Diabetic ketoacidosis:> 10 mmols
