Hello Antoni

Welcome to the club.

Normal is a term that should not exist in diabetes ... what is normal to me is very likely that it is not for you.

I see that not "tasty" oral antidiabetics ... I imagine that your doctor will be testing if with food exercise and control your glycemia are approaching normality.
Normally this will not happen and will have to start supplying Dianben or similar.

Those 150-160 are a bit high, in theory 80-120 it would be the optimal value. However, it is of no use that you have 110 (for example) on an empty stomach if the rest of the day is not low from 200.

In my opinion, making glycemia only on an empty stomach provides very little information.
I think that making you a full profile for 1 week would suffice.A profile is the following: Monday (glycemia before breakfast), Tuesday (glycemia after breakfast, 2 hours), Wednesday (glycemia before eating), Thursday (blood glucose 2-3 hours after eating), Friday (before dinner) andSaturday (2-3 hours after dinner) ... on Sunday to rest that that's what it is for :)

During that week, write down what you eat (if possible heavy, would be registered) and the exercise you do.

With all that information you can analyze how your body responds, globally, to excess sugar or the lack of insulin, which for the case ...

For the next chapter: D, we would leave glycosylated hemoglobin (the main reference measure for us).

Salu2 and patience that as this is a chronic disease you will have a lot of time to learn and practice.

That is a diet between 1000 and 1200 calories :?

You may have recommended losing a few kilos, in my opinion it lacks some carbohydrates at dinner (taking into account the exercise you do)

Take care of the femoral that with diabetes+cholesterol is to look at it a lot, the slightest weird sign do not hesitate to consult the doctor or the nurse

Hi Antoni,
My name is Jose and I am worried if I could suffer from type 2 diabetes. I copied to you that I put in another of the pages of this forum to see if my symptoms could have been similar to yours. If someone else can give me their opinion please
Thank you very much.
Hello,
I have been worried for a while since I am in many moments tired and sleepy, even being practically asleep with my eyes open and dreaming; this often happens to me at work.So much so that consulting it with the neurologist we decided to do some narcolepsy tests (sleep disease) that they gave negative.Although they referred to another specialist to make me another type of analysis (from the blood) within a few days, in my conviction that I suffer some disease I continue to investigate.Today I have tried to look for if there was something related to thirst, since among the symptoms that affect me is to drink water and urinate the same, and I have encountered the diabetes, which according to the symptoms I have seen could suffer perfectly:Thirst and continuous urination, fatigue, discordination, headache, etc ..... However, when I have done routine blood analysis, they have never detected anything (nor thyroids of those I suspected). In the last ones that they did to me when the narcolepsia test surprised that the doctor told me that I drink little water, when I drink all day !!
I need to solve my tiredness problem, I get tired being at work, I get an isnoparable energy low, and they give me heats, my head hurts to the putno that I have to be squeezing and massenging it so that the irrigation flows, I am completely decentralized and nothing lucid, and that yes ... water all the time.
Anecdically, years ago I made a very severe diet with an acupuncturer in which I lost 20 kg, because I have always been very fat (it is worth that since then I have to live on a constant diet and do a lot of sport every day to not take weight, and nowI am chubby, but it is very difficult for me) and well this acupuncture does not towards analysis, I only studied your eyes, and he told me that as it would be more diabetic, to which I never paid attention.
On the other hand, a lady who came to clean my house always told me that I was diabetic, "because my urine olia a lot" and that happened to the diabetics, that his father was ..... I do not know if this has anybase......
Anyway, next Monday I am going to this specialist, K will supposedly give me more analysis of the routine elas: what tests should I demand in terms of diabetes to get out of doubt ????
Please if someone can help me or give me their impression, because I am passing a somewhat desperate streak, and I feel a weirdo.
Thank you very much and forgive for the Tostón.

Puffffffffff

Let's see, Josediabetes, we will try to clarify things.

The first thing is that, to determine whether you are diabetic or not, blood analysis is essential. In that analysis they will have to look at two things: blood glucose (blood sugar level) and glycosylated hemoglobin (a kind of average of the ultimate months) if this is negative, you are not diabetic and you will have to look for other causes.

Another thing is that all those stories of whether urine smells, or if looking at the iris they know that you are going to be diabetic, it is as reliable as me, taking a potato, telling you what will be the number that will play in theChristmas lottery.

Leave various intruders and ignorant and see doctors to do the necessary tests to find out what you have.

Greetings

I will tell you that I have learned a strange way.
I practice tennis and cycling, for a year when playing tennis I felt an intense pain in the right leg, which when I was in running, when resting a little I calmed down but returned to resume the game, curiously in Ciclilsmo I have not felt it ever and that and thatthat I train about 40 km daily and 70 to 120 K. on weekends.

The doctor performs an analytical and bingo I have type 2 diabetes and cholesterol.

And then with the realization of a dopler they discover me an intermittent claudication in the leg in the primitive artery (I think), also called arteriosclerosis.

This is wonderful, suddenly it seems that I have something that can degenerate even in the last case I have to cut my leg.

I must control diabetes absolutely and lower my cholesterol levels.

I will inform how wonderful everything is.
