In Europe we usually use the 10gr of HC, while in America they tend to use 15gr.
In any case, the important thing is to adjust individually, we each have our own insulin/HC ratio and even depending on the type of food you adjust or down
Well, I've always used 15 ... and I always thought there were 15 .. (I'm European)
Should I change it?Or it does not matter and can I continue to think that they are 15 and adjust insulin to rations of 15?
The important thing is not the theoretical number, but the practical number ... is that it gives a bit the same
The important thing is how much insulin you need to lower the HC you eat and that is given by experience and glucometer
If counting on 15gr you see that the glycemia after meals are high then you will have to adjust ... but the same would happen if you count on 10gr
