Good my name is Mirian I am 24 years old, I am diabetics since the 9, a month ago I present a diplopia (double vision) due to my sugar climbs I have had it uncontrolled ... I have gone to all kinds of doctors and specialists to rule out somethingMore serious and everything is perfect. My diplopia comes from sugar and they tell me that it is a slow thing to cure up to three months have told me that I can be like this ... my encouragement has changed and I barely go out for the street for fear of getting dizzy pleaseIf someone has had diplopia or knows any case to advise me or help you would be very grateful please thank you very much.

I had no knowledge of the subject, for what I have searched and this is what I have found:

diplopia

Diplopia or diplopia is the double vision, the perception of two images of a single object. The image can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal.1 It is not necessaryof greater seriousness.

Diplopia originates from multiple causes:

- Aneurysm
- Diabetes mellitus
- Wernicke's disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Drugs
- Hypertension
- Miastenia Gravis
- Mitochondrial myopathy
- Keratocono
- Cranial trauma
- Tumor
- Virus

When you disappear when you close an eye, you usually have two causes:

- Paralysis of the oculomotor muscles, with the consequent misalignment of the eyes, forming the image in different places of the retina in each eye or strabismus.
- If, when closing an eye, the double image does not disappear, this is generally caused by correlation default between the eye lenses.

If, looking with a double vision, using a polarized filter, it is found when the filter that disappears the double image, this is formed by Birrefringnce in the lens.

In the case of the double image seeing with one eye, it is important to verify the introcular pressure, which is related to the eye glaucoma.

Diplopia can also be associated with cancer diseases, as in Cavum lymphepitelioma, in which the optical nerve can be affected.

Diagnosis

If a patient experiences diplopia you should consult an urgently doctor, who after physical examination can request:

- Lancaster test
- Background
- Blood analysis (to see blood glucose levels)
- Magnetic resonance
- Computed tomography

Likewise, the patient will be indicated to avoid sugar and salt until the laboratory exam results are.The patient is also asked for the occlusion of an eye, alternating one day each side.In this way the double vision is avoided, since it almost always brings as dizziness and headache symptoms.

Diplopia itself does not bring consequences for health, the vision is not compromised or life, but the causes of this disease are usually seriously seriously, so they must be detected in time.

Hi Mirian!I understand perfectly because of what you are happening. The diplopia was one of my first symptoms when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes fifteen years ago;It is something rare perhaps, what made them in my case to err in the initial diagnosis. They made me an in -depth neurological study because they thought I had a demyelinizing disease type miasthenia ... (. They would not see in the initial analytics that was with more than 500 sugar, I lost 7 kg with how thin it was, Polidipsia, polyuria....) I have suffered a lot, a lot ... as in the end I was neurologically, they thought it was psychological, stress ... but it was diabetes! The neurologist flipped and even apologized. I don't know exactly the causal mechanism but I know that at the couple of months of my diagnosis it happened.Sometimes it is complicated ... I was also afraid to go out because when I didn't see myself very fragile but I always made it accompanied. It seems to octure an eye with a dressing and alternate an eye to see if this relieves you ...Good luck and a lot of encouragement!

Mirian, I spend in January 2017 and are neuroyschemic accidents that affect the VI Cranial Parisle,
The only way of accelerating healing is by using botox injected Quenerally the average rectum and yet I will tell you that I be 8 months and 2 Botox injects.
I helped me to cope with it the use of patches in the eye with the diplopia.
