The Salamanca Diabetological Association has hosted on Tuesday the presentation of the “Preventive and Protective effect of moderate beer consumption in Diabetes Mellitus” prepared by Dr. Franz Martín Bermudo, Professor of Nutrition and Bromatology at the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville andRepresentative of the Spanish Diabetes Society.

The study concludes that there are beer components, such as soluble fiber, polyphenolic compounds, minerals and low alcoholic graduation, which could act on the mechanisms and processes that trigger diabetes and its complications.
