The Federal Commission for the Protection of Health Risks confiscated 42 thousand 855 pieces of alleged nutritional supplements in Jalisco's naturist stores for breaking with health legislation.
In a statement, the dependency of the Ministry of Health reported that the products offered "cure" diseases such as diabetes, cholesterol, arthritis, embolism and obesity without having scientific evidence or guarantee of the Cofepris.
The agency carried out an operation in four stores called Jalisco, where federal health verifiers seized 67 thousand 850 pieces of supplements labels, 59 thousand 15 empty supplements, 231 kilos of conditioning material, 300 advertising pieces and 6 thousand960 liters of alcohol without control registration.
The Cofepris reported that the verified companies are Biofarma Natural CMD, S.A, Synergia Farmaceutica S.A.P.I, Nutrition Inc and Gelpharma S.A, and that products such as Diabatec, Retroviron, Vascular System Pack, Anticholsterol, Redupack, Flexo Plus, Slim Pack, Artiflex, artiflex, were securedinter alia.
