Navarra refuses to withdraw the "discrimination" of candidates with opposition diabetes

The Presidency, Justice and Interior Commission of the Parliament of Navarra has rejected on Wednesday a motion to urge the regional government to "eliminate the discrimination suffered by applicants suffering from diabetes in previous calls in selective processes of personnel at the service of public administrationsfrom Navarra or private companies ".

The motion, driven by the PSN, has only collected the vote in favor of socialists and left-wing, while UPN has voted against and Bildu, Aralar-Nabai and PPN have refrained.

In the exposure of reasons, the PSN motion relied on "scientific advances and a medical report to demand that diabetes ceases to be a barrier to labor insertion and the performance of public functions."

According to the PSN, "the development of the health system and the improvement of life styles allow diabetics to make a normalized life and enable them to carry out any type of work and task, matching them to people who do not suffer this disease".

My personal note: At this point and in the 21st century, it is a shame that the administration still discriminates to the diabetics for certain public places, the politicians who have voted against, perhaps we would have to do a test and verify if they are really trainedTo exercise their functions, I am sure that more than one would have to leave office !!!
