Needles, bruises, wounds ...

Hello everyone!
As I said in the presentation message, just two weeks ago that diagnosed me diabetes so I am very fish.
The fact is that since they discharged me and shed at home, bruises and wounds have begun to leave.I make more "the blame" to the new needles that have given me in the health center, because in the hospital I click me alone every day and any bruise never came out.

In the hospital I used 5mm needles, which I have now are 8mm.In the gut (where I use Apidra) it gives me a bit the same to use them in this size because I have more chicha where he grabbed hahaha but in my legs (lantus) I can hardly grab a pinch and it hurts a lot when I puncture, in addition to the timeI keep the area a little fans, and then like a little injury where I click, then a bruise comes out.In the hospital they told me that it was normal for the area to swell a little, because I am thin and it shows more or something.
When they taught me to prick me they told me that I had to do it perpendicular to the skin, at an angle of 90º.
Maybe now with 8mm needles I shouldn't do it like that?
Can it be for the needle brand?Use insuffer now.
Any advice for this not to happen to me?I have the legs and gut made a Christ:-& lt;At the moment what I do is throw me Thrombocid at night to see if I can make me go faster.

Thank you very much in advance: D

Of course, it is for the needles!

Those insuffic people are a bodrium.Believe me.Moratones, pains and everything you can imagine, and use it 2 times, if the first one can hurt, imagine the rest.

The BD are/were fantastic, it was rare (not impossible) the bruises or pains, but 90% of the time very well, and also, they endure enough punctures.

The InsUPEN I do not understand, really, and I invite you all that we end the stock and that we spend 5 times more of needles, and if they say something, we have to put 1 per puncture, and not even.
The ss of the SS are getting a careful goal, because saving, I don't think they save, but envelopes, someone is taking them.

Greetings

Go, don't tell me!
Tomorrow I have to go with the nurse, I will ask if there are others although I don't believe, if you have given me those, right?
I do use only a puncture needle for the lantus but as you see, not so.With Apidra yes I leave the same needle all day, I sulked maximum 4 times. Now I'm going to change it with each puncture to see if I do less harm.

And what solution is there?Do you sell other needles?Sorry if it's a very dumb question but I have no idea!

Apart from what Paul told you, 5mm asked them if you see that they will be better, they have to have because they are the ones that give to the children.
If those of BD, they sell them in the pharmacy, for me the best.

Pablo, how many needles give you to have to walk reusing?

I just search and the needles I used in the hospital were BD!I will ask in my health center just in case, anyway.
Can anyone tell me how much they cost in the pharmacy?

And I reused needles because they told me to use only one per day, that nothing happened. But enough damage to me the first time to use it again!

Make a request at the health center or a claim, saying the problems that the Insupe give you comparing them with the BDs of the hospital. That there is evidence of that, we should all do it.And ask for them 5 mm, which, if you are not obese, it is enough.
The Lantus, pill it in the buttock, which is much better than in the leg and does less damage.

good night
I am in the same situation, I have changed the 5mm BD for the Braun Omnican Fine of 6 mm and they are one why
Apart from the damage and the bruises I have already thrown more that I have used because when trying one or two units the crooked stream or does not come out
Tomorrow I'm going to meet that I change them but I'm afraid they don't have to buy them until they bring again if they bring again

Ufff! The Braun were the ones who gave me, but if nothing comes out, the half -clog and the other half to screw them fatal, in the Humalog they did not enter, spent 2 or 3 until I found the one I curled up and then made me scratchWhen taking out the needle out of the skin and also without inner taponcito .....
I have commented on another post, the assistant who gives us the strips and needles made a letter commenting on what was happening because we should complain all, and picked up signatures when we went for things, and sent it to the inspection (and I suppose thatSomewhere else because the bodrium of needles that gave us came out in the newspaper) and well I don't know if it was for that or not but the fact is that they changed them and now they give us the BD

Yesterday I went with the nurse and told her that the needles insauce I did not like, that they made me injured and it was hard to prick them.He told me that they were the only ones they gave and those used by everyone (as if that made them better or something ...).I couldn't give me others, of course, but at least it gave me new 6mm.
The thing is that I imagine that not many people complain, because they will always have used the same needles or something, but I have tried the BD I notice an abysmal difference.
The truth is that she is not to blame for only bringing those needles.I will try these from 6 to see if the matter improves a bit and if not the next time I will tell you something, to see if it has shown, we can do something to collect signatures or claim.

Hello ... but charge ... they retain what it touches on the payroll, right? If they put them insufficient and lower me 30 or 40 euros of deduction, then I buy them ... some listings.
I still think, take boxes, boxes, and more boxes, every 2 weeks a box is needed, 1 needle per puncture, even if you do not use them ... And if at any time they say "what do you spend a lot", is when we scream"Well, you use them."And not even.Is that it is sad to see them ... with how good the BD are going ... Does anyone really ss tried those needles?Or simply attend to the commercial that is offered, and gives them a vacation in Santo Domingo, for supplying them?I think the latter rather. What's small we have ...

This works like this ... We give you strips, but the dexcom paid you ... we give you needles ... but the "good" you pay them ... the next thing will be to give an "insulin" of 3rd, andIf you want to use pen, you pay them ..

What a goal they have got us with these needles ... and I have already said it, we are adults and we can endure (we don't have), but children cry that gives pleasure, and that makes me sad, because IAdults already complain, imagine a child ...

greetings

We would have to put claims, because, in addition to hurting, they do not control the dose well.

I am Arsenia's husband
My wife has given the Braun of 6mm and every 10 at least 3 or 4 when the test comes out the crooked stream or does not go apart from the bruises and pain they produce
I have gone to the medical center and the hospital pharmacy to ask for the 5mm BDs that they gave so far and they have told me that the only ones who send them are the reason for Braun this afternoon I bought a BD box in a pharmacy and have beenBe surprised
We will see how long this I will put a claim at the Medical Center if they do not throw it to the paperwork

All to put claims!
We also buy the BD in the pharmacy, but that is not so, because we are paying the material twice.

@-) Reading this post, I have not been able to look at my needles and ... they are insupen :( they came out from time to time, and I have always thought that either I have caught a little vegetable orI have caught the angle badly ... but I had never asked me to be the needles. The lantus (1 prick) to the levemir (2 punctures), apart from the rapid that did not touch me, but after a month trying they have returned to the lantus because with the levemir some lumps came out as if the insulin stayed thereaccumulated and did not go in two days, whether I click on the buttock or on the side of the leg (there is more chicha). This insulin?
Thanks for the information, I will spend the maximum possible needles.

Hello everyone, I am new in the group.
Regarding the syringes and needles of the PIC brand (Insupe and Insumed) are prohibited in Europe and part of the communities of Spain. They effectively cause skin lesions.
I was a few years ago in how (Italy) where they are manufactured, invited by the company to see how the material was manufactured. All very beautiful, but it seems that the final result of the product is not.
When the needles and syringes per contest were approved in Madrid, the material that the community approved was not the same as the one that then provided us with patients, that is, this company cheated on the Ministry of Health. It seems that many units were bought and of course healing is not going to throw them, so they are pigeonholed. We all have the right to choose the material that best goes.So ask for it in the ambulatory because they have the obligation to provide it.If they refuse, do a written patient care and send a copy to the Fede Link
Havana Street, 35

and also to the association that corresponds to you Link
I personally use the BD

All the best

Hello, thank you very much for your contribution ... and what is prohibited, apart from the fact that I think it's good ... Marine fabric.
And the "change" also seems perfectly feasible (you already know the trick of teaching something very good, and then containers of lousy products).
I also use the BD (but from my pocket) and I am insurgating them I am cornering them ... until when we have to continue like this?Until they run out?Well, let's exhaust them as soon as possible ... everyone to ask for boxes and more boxes ...

That said, thank you very much for your contribution and data, I will take them into account.

greetings

@Ana55Maria, thank you very much for the information! When I move back to Madrid I will put a claim at the Customer Service Center.

I continue with the same needles, Insupe 6mm, and I feel that every day it hurts more ... there is not a single puncture that does not hurt!
Sometimes it costs me a bit to take the needle and I am afraid that I stay there as I read here somewhere @-) I know it is unlikely but I already wait for anything from these needles.
Supposedly if you ask for the needles you want in the ambulatory should bring you?It seems to me the most logical.

@ainhoa162005, do BD give you in the ambulatory? What did you have to do to give you those?

The risks of reuse
About ten percent of patients, reuse needles for comfort, but most do so because "they do not reach them with the needles that give them or because they do not have information about the risks."

Hence, the Federation has launched this campaign so that it is clear that the needles are of a single use, as indicated in their formats, and that once used they lose their sterility and their tips can deteriorate, which can cause painand skin ulcers.

But in addition, when the fragile tip turns, you can break inside the skin and you can enter the body parts of its material, but a medication deficiency can also occur that can lead to both hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia.

The subcutaneous injection, according to Marisa Amayaya, a specialist in therapeutic education and diabetes of the Punta de Europa de Algeciras (Cádiz) hospital, it has to be performed with the maximum guarantees so that the insulin administered by the patient acts properly and therefore we must avoid theNeedle reuse.

"Reuse is an inexhaustible source of problems," according to the doctor, and therefore the patients who use the same needle more than once have more tendency to suffer lipohiperophic lesions.

These are subcutaneous tissue anomalies that are produced by an accumulation of adipose tissue because the patient is usually injected into the same area, which has an incorrect rotation, or by a trauma that has been produced by needlesreused.
