Diabetes is a chronic condition that is triggered when the body loses its ability to produce sufficient insulin or use it effectively.Insulin is a hormone that is manufactured in the pancreas and that allows food glucose to pass to the body's cells, where it becomes energy so that the muscles and tissues work.
As a result, a person with diabetes does not absorb glucose properly, so that it is circulating in the blood (hyperglycemia) and damaging the tissues over time. This deterioration causes potentially lethal health complications.
There are three main types of diabetes: type 1 diabetes;Type 2 diabetes;and diabetes mellitus gestational (DMG).By 2000, around 171 million people were estimated in the world, which will arrive at 2030 to 370 million.
The activity is intended for patients, relatives and the general public.Admission is free and free. For more information, you can call the phones (02920) 15625463 /15446961;or by e-mail to presidencyaviadi@gmail.com;or Facebook: Aviadi Diabetes Viedma;or visit the page www.aviadi.org.ar.
