I have lumps of the punctures.

What can I do? I have two good areas on both sides of the navel that I have hard meat inside and when I click there if I am not careful, I get to the insulin mixed with blood; These areas have about 2 or 3 cms, and the worst thing is that I have them everywhere in the punctures except in the glutere zone because there I have put them less for discomfort.
I already told the specialist, who touched the area for a moment and the only thing he told me was: click above;I already do it but I just manage to extend the area lasts much more.
Of course, 33 years give them a long way, but I don't know what to do.

AJD, there is an ointment for lipodystrophy that is going very well .., Let's see if someone gives you the name that I do not remember now.
Give yourself in the slow butle
Let's see if you improve with the ointment and leaving the areas at rest ... If you see that affects that theme to glycemia, you will surely be a pump candidate.

Hello AJD, it happens to me too.I told my endocrine, it sent me to make an ultrasound and confirmed that it was lipodystrophy. He did not give me any solution apart from not clicking on the affected area and told me that over time he would disappear, but he did not tell me how much I believe that, in reality, it is not known.I have been clicking on that area for almost half a year and I remain the same.I don't notice to improve and I need to do something already.

The other day looking online I found a thread of this forum that I do not remember what it was and in which they put this link that I kept: Link

On the 3rd page, a paragraph says the following:

Glucocorticoids have also been used and, recently, topical treatment with sodium chromoglycate (topical sodium chromolyn) in the areas affected twice a day, with excellent results. In that study, treatment was used in patients who had developed lipoatrophias with different types of human insulins, such as NPH insulin, regular and fast and slow insulin analogues. The recovery of the affected area could be observed after two weeks of the treatment. In addition, it was found that its use in healthy areas prevented the appearance of new lipoatrophias.

He speaks of the topic with sodium chromoglycate but I have gone to ask the pharmacy and they have told me that sodium chromoglycate is not sold in topical, but are a few drops that are used for the nose (or something like that), but that if the doctorHe tells me that this product really serves the lipodystrophy could lose that they expressly made it (although I don't know anything about what could cost ...).

Total, that I will wait until the next visit with my endo and ask about it.

If someone has used or knows someone who has done it, please, let it know.

Hello, I knew that sodium chromoglucate is used in creams for dermatitis next to antipruriginos (soothing of itching) due to its anti -inflammatory effect on allergic and antifungal processes (treatment for fungi) for the same, this use did not know it butIt makes sense because lipodystrophy is produced by the inflammation of repeated trauma tissues such as continuous punctures or blows in the same area.
Lalala8 When you go to the endo please, tell us what he told you, I am very interested

Until early May it doesn't touch me :( so we will have to wait a little ...
Or if someone else who has lipodystrophy wants to ask ... so we will have more opinions of endocrine and maybe soon

Hello chic@s.My husband says (who was a pharmacy employee for many years -and the son of a pharmaceutical -) that if there is no wound, the thrombocid that is for blows and trauma could go well.In fact, it is mixed with thiomucase to make a cream that is an anti -cellulite effective. That you wear the thrombocid and do a good massage (several times a day).I hope it is effective.Kisses to everyone.

Ah and the thrombocid in active cream and improves the circulation of the blood (there are people who use it for swollen legs), so the safe area will improve. That is completely discarded if the area has an open injury.A hug

Hello.I am going to tell you is a name of a moisturizer that is going very well (and that I advise you to put every day to you who click and therefore "punish" the skin a lot).It is the moisturizer they use here in the hospitals of Catalonia (I do not know if used in other parts). It is used to hydrate even the skin of the terminal elders or to clean them and even to hydrate limbs that have been plaster. It is called: +bo.It is not excessively expensive (about three euros the small boat) and spreads a lot.A kiss and take care.

Good again!

I sent an email to my nutritionist, who also knows about my lipodystrophy, since my endo's email address I don't have it, and I didn't want to wait long to know about any possible solution.

I sent him the link of the file that I put above and I told him about this topic that seems to be very good but I had not been able to find it and the following has answered today: "I have been talking to the dermatologists to see if they knew theUse in lipos of the preparation mentioned in the article and did not know of this indication but as it seems that it is referenced in some more study, I am trying to find the % of the preparation so that they can prepare the formula. "

He has asked me for a little time so he can find out.
So as soon as I have news I inform you: D

I went to the pharmacy last Friday to buy some cream and the pharmacist told me that once you have the lipodystrophies, it can be done, that it would have to be given before they appeared. When I heard this I did not decide to buy any but I am trying to rotate more looking until the last corner of leather.

AJD It is true that when lipodystrophy takes a long time and it is difficult to disappear but I tell you like the companions that must be tried and above all prevent more.I would probate with a mixture of Thiomucase (which makes the liquid blood) and thrombocid (which is cheap). This mixture is used for cellulite so if you have you already know hahaha.A hug and take care of yourself

Jo, if this forum had existed years ago ... :) I will do about 8 ochos I had a lipodystrophy in the belly because I always click me there, and I began to sink a point of the gut and worried that my endocrine did not know whatThat it was, they did echoes and everything and the aunt did not know, so she simply told me not to click on that area and after almost a year she disappeared completely. So patience or to try the cremita.I now puncture in the mornings at noon in the gut, at night in my leg, and the lantus before bed at the buttock, a week on the right side of everything, and the following week on the left side,So I'm varying :)
