Neurological question

First of all, happy and healthy year to all.

When hypoglycemia occurs, death and consequent loss of neurons occur.

The question is if neurons are also lost when a serious hypo is not reached but there is a low sugar level, eg 50-60.Or neuronal death only happens in a coma? (With a severe hypo).

Thanks and greetings.

I don't know .., Arrobita, there are too many things to worry.Last me, my daughter is getting up with headaches for a few days, and I think if they will be hypos ... although it seems that she does not have them at night.
I do not believe that minor hypoglycemia affect much, thinks that there are diabetics with more than 50 years of evolution that continue to reason perfectly.
Greetings

I read a scientific study that took 20 years to complete where it was clear that if you have had hypos or if you have never had them, there is no neuronal degeneration.Against what many people say .. there I leave it.
