Well, in short, what the teacher tells (incidentally, also works at Novo Nordisk), is that the islet transplant is not a good option to cure diabetes, in attempts only 7% of the people treatedThey still needed insulin at 5 years of the transplant, and that taking immunosuppressants, although some people suffering from unstable diabetes after being insulin-dependent again were less unstable than before.
As they comment, they are focusing their efforts on using embryonic and encapsulating stem cells, so that it is not at the mercy of the immune system, and therefore those who receive it do not have to take immunosuppressants.

Let's see if it is true that in private laboratories they investigate in stem cells. They will see the implants...
