I have a question! Let's say that for example you have an insulin pump and it has stopped working for any thing, you are not having basal and your levels increase to more than 400 mg/dl.You look at the ketones and give positive.

Hading ketones would be a ketoacidosis?

And if a person enters ketoacidosis, and then corrects their glucose levels to for example 120 mg/ml, does ketoacidosis disappear immediately or can it continue present?

What to do in those cases?to

Part of correcting blood glucose and drinking a lot of water, should it go to the hospital yet?

thank you!

If you correct it quickly it does not become ketoacidosis, even if there are ketones.Once glycemia is regulated, the danger has passed.
