The Ministry of Public Health and the Institute of Clinical and Health Effectiveness signed an agreement in June, being designated currents to carry out the project that allows to detect, prevent and control people with diabetes and improve their health in public centersof primary care.In this framework today they began the training days in diabetes that will be held until September 17 at the Honitled Medical College of Corrientes.
It is noteworthy that Corrientes and Buenos Aires are the first two provinces chosen by the World Diabetes Foundation to develop this project.Which includes training of primary care equipment for the diagnosis, management and monitoring of diabetic patients.The objective of the study is to strengthen the attention of people with diabetes in the field of primary care.
More than 150 people participate in these days, including doctors, nutritionists, nurses and health agents who work in hospitals and health centers in the province.Theoretical classes and workshops are dictated in which it is developed on prevention and management of type 2 diabetes, clinical cases, how to perform the care of the diabetic foot, insulinization of people with type 2 diabetes and recipes in charge of a professional chef.
The opening ceremony of the conference was in charge of the Undersecretary of Public Health Ricardo Cardozo, who greeted in the name of Minister Julián Dandart, thanking and highlighting the interest and effort to train the professionals.Subsequently, he stressed the work on the pathology that has been developed in the province of Corrientes and thanked the Institute for Clinical and Health Effectiveness, "they trusted you, in our primary health care system for the development of this project."
Meanwhile, the Director General for Health Promotion and Protection, Adela Saade, also highlighted the importance of this project being developed in the province, thanking the presence of Dr. Andrea Beratarrechea of the Institute of Clinical and Health Effectiveness.“Thanks to the work that was done, we made this agreement signed, develop and today we are taking the first step with the training of what work is together with the institute that have very prestigious researchers and with experience in the field ofDiabetes, ”he said.
