Jet Lag and Diabetes

This summer I will travel to Japan.

Every summer I like to make a trip but the truth is that I did not just catch the trick to the change of time uses.Last year in the US it also cost me a few days to control my glycemia basically for the basal ...

I do not know how you do it when you make transatlantic trips, which do not take a bomb.

Thanks in advance.

If you travel west you are going to earn hours, so you would have to put a dose of food next to an insulin and increase the basal
To the east it is the other way around, you lose hours so it would have to lower something basal and even remove the breakfast dose (for example) that it would touch.
That for the trip time ...

After you reach the destination, then adjust basal and the doses of meals according to glycemia, as always.
