Doctors, nutritionists and nurses, among others, will participate at the end of May in the thirty -second edition of the talks for diabetics and relatives organized by the Diabetics Society of Cartagena (Sodicar).
The days will take place from May 25 to 27 in the auditorium of the Caja Mediterraneo Foundation, and the entrance will be free until the capacity is completed.The priority of this initiative, explained on Wednesday the president of the association, María Dolores García, in the presentation of the talks, is to promote the prevention and treatment of diabetes to improve the quality of life of those affected, as well as raise awarenessSociety about this ailment.
According to the data that SODICAR handles, some 30,000 people suffer diabetes throughout Spain, but around half of them ignore it.The first will be about type 2 diabetes by Dr. Luis Marín Martínez, internal resident of Endocrinology and Nutrition of the Santa Lucía Hospital.
