Very good,

I put you in the background:
I am 26 years old, type I diabetic since the 13th and with hemoglobin to 5.4%.I measure 1.70 and weight 59 kg.

I had always used human insulin NPH and regular but for a year, my endocrine for my request changed me to Levemir Flex Pen and a novorapid flexpen since they are more modern insulins and I could better control the sugar and not be a slave of the schedules.I am not really sure when I started losing weight, I may just before the change or shortly after starting the new insulins.I had always heavy as 68-69 kg., Thin complexion, but now these months, of the summer so far, I have lost as I point out, like 10 kg.And I don't understand why, I told the endocrine of mine but nothing, it doesn't give me any solution, he says that I am inside my weight. All my friends and family tell me how skinny I am and the truth is that I begin to be uncomfortable with this situation.

Right now I am living in London, I cook all my food and as in the street what I can moderately, I always try to take care of my diet.In the last analytical this month, I had in high cholesterol, I spend the maximum.

I would like someone to give me food advice on how to gain weight but without compromising that cholesterol raises me more, I am trying to lower it, leaving aside the fats, fried in excesses.I don't know how to base my diet or if there are food supplements suitable drinks, I don't know, I don't know. The problem is that now I cannot see my endocrine in Spain because I am in England and here I will see my new endocrine in the mid -December but I do not want to wait so long, I would like to try to improve in what I have commented.

Thank you very much for the attention and forgiveness for the roll.

Did they review thyroid on the last visit to the doctor?
A hyperthyroidism would explain that loss of weight ..

If you have discarded the thyroid theme (I hope you do), you have to increase the theme calories (you will have to leave at 2000 or 2500 minimum, and without exercising) ... and that happens to put more carbohydrates in the diet (with thecorresponding insulin chute each time).
A possibility is to chop nuts (almonds) between hours, they have a good amount of calories and glycemia does not rise too quickly.

Here you have several models of diets:
The last one is 2500 lime
Although they are intended for children, you can make some change such as replacing milk with other HC

If you are strong, do not worry about your weight, you will win it with the years hahaha I am also thin 1.83 and weight 69. I also think that if your analysis are correct and you have no lack of anything this is fine.I think that the more Bale Pecar de Delgado than not to be overweight and more for the DB.

Hello good,
Thanks for answering.

@owash because I have no idea about thyroid, I have always made the analytics complete and I have never had abnormal values so to speak. This last analytical, this month made here in England, has nothing about thyroid in the results.I also do not know how to affect what you comment on weight loss.
Yes, my idea is to increase the calories of my diet and have cholesterol.

@Quin If I find myself well but I don't know, sooner how much I weighed like 69 kg, it was already skinny and now I don't even tell you.It is clear that it is first to be healthy and control diabetes and if one is in accordance with the parameters, it does not have to worry, but I would like to win in mass.

Medical monitoring of type 1 diabetes includes an annual thyroid exam (TSH and T4), the doctor is the one in charge.
The normal thing is that they have done it to you, but just in case they ask it.

One of the typical symptoms of hyperthyroidism is inexplicable weight loss.

To gain weight, you must make a stronger dinner, because it is at night when our metabolism is reduced.Sumo fighters for example, eat only once a day and night, thus increase the weight. That is why people who live away from home also usually gain weight, because they eat bad at noon and at night, hunger, they have a stronger. The ideal at night is protein and not carbohydrates.

I did not read your whole case, if some thyroid came out, it was not like that, I have my personal experience.I change D Doctor and Eya told me that I live more relaxed than every tannant as something sweet. As for example, I don't know 1 invoices in the snack one day that corrects them well!I mean as long as I don't eat half a dozen and correct bn the hydrates etc could, and thus fat!I have noticed that if I leave that custom in 3 days under a kilo :( I am a person sincere that if I say they eat bread and water, but in these years I learned that there is nothing better than knowing really to learn about your illness and yourbody to be able to handle you more freely and be analytical ...

Hello, the same thing happened to me at first and they told me that my weight was fine that I did not have to alarm, but I still felt uncomfortable, what I did was start as up here say a diet of 2500 calories using the diary ofYazio foods Link apart I began to exercise lift weight and avoiding the cardiobascular exercises a bit, in my case at the beginning it was somewhat complicated to know that eating to lower triglyceride cholesterol becauseI also had them quite high! Now I have chosen to tell my calories and choose healthier foods with a high caloric content and that they are trades, I have gone quite well I have recovered 8 kilos of the 11 I lost: Smiley:

Hello good,

-With the insulin change ... have you increased the units decreased?Insulin is an anabolic hormone. If you have diminished the units a condition of your weight loss can be that.

-If you have changed residence ... surely your diet has also varied and your stress for change, it also influences.

-As they tell you too you could be developing a thyroid problem, review it.

If all of the above is ok, then ... you must change your diet.

I don't know why we always tend to ask for forums and others how to win or lose weight when there are professionals dedicated to nutrition. Why do you go to the doctor but not to a nutrition specialist?

It is the best advice I can give you, because when I see you you will see if you should review some extra value in your analytics, body composition etc ...

Well, you have lost weight because you went down your caloric intake, that's normal.I would recommend greater complex carbohydrate intake: pasta (without fat), gluten -free integral bread, natural cereals such as oats or cooked rice.
