If the pancreas does not produce insulin, it must be put externally, necessarily. It doesn't matter if you call it type 1, type 2 or lada ... but you produce insulin endogenous you have to inject it exogenously ... without insulin it is not possible to live.
It is likely that initially the lada type need less insulin because the pancreas still produces something, but as the doses are over, they will match a type 1.
