Hello everyone,

I have quite rebellious diabetes;I do everything the endocrine tells me, but there is no way to get down; The fact is that since the summer I have been noticing how my hair falls and I already started to have bald ...

Can diabetes and hair drop be related?

Thank you so much!

If you have begun to suddenly fall, it may be by stress.Tell us what guideline you have and what values, to see if we can help you control.:)

They say that hair loss in the case of women can be due to stress causes, as registered, serious infections or polycystic ovary syndrome (closely related to insulin resistance).

The same thing happened to me before the treatment, I was 6 months with diabetes without realizing it and one of the things that happened to me was the loss of hair and having it more fragile, it immediately broke.
After starting with insulin I have noticed a great improvement so I think it is related to the sugar level, just like the loss of vision can occur when you have the high sugar level for a long period of time, in general thecapillaries and high sugar do not get along very well.
Obviously I cannot assure you that it is for this, because each person is a world, but if you say that you have problems controlling it and that you are always high, because it may happen to you, anyway, what you should not do isWorrying to talk to you with an endocrine to see what tells you and if you can always go to a specialist to look at you in case it is something completely different.

I can not assure you either, but during the three months before debuting, my hair fell a barbarity. As soon as I started with insulin treatment, I stopped falling.

Well, it is related but in reverse order, stress produces very serious ravages in diabetic patients. The hair falls out by Stress, generally.
You must relax, 200 mg.It is not so serious but it is not so true either? What surprises me is the amount of insulin that you apply and the dose of metformin, and that of humolog is out of all logic, which makes me assume that you are not following a prescribed diet.
Do not mention if you are exercising or if you help you of relaxation therapies.I suggest you find multidiciplinary attention: endocrinologist, nutritionist and psychologist.
Nutriologist: To prescribe a diet appropriate to your weight, your size, your lifestyle and insulin quality that you produce, because if they prescribe metformin it is that you still have good pancreatic reserve or you have insulin resistance and the medicine helps youTo break it.
Endocrinologist to help you determine what your real insulin requirements are once the appropriate diet for you has been established.
Psychologist: To help you handle the disease and you can get the anguish you are presenting. When you accept your disease you will learn to control it.
Good luck!
