The Melilla Diabetics Association yesterday organized a children's party.

The two little ones had fun in the inflatable castle. They stopped jumping and colliding with the walls.Their laughter infected the mothers who watched them from very close. It had been a long time since they had so much fun.Inside that castle did not matter diabetes.

Between jump and jump this disease gave the same. The two children played without stopping until the Zumba monitors called them and put on the front row to dance the songs that have played the whole summer with this type of dance.

One of these little ones suffers from diabetes, but yesterday he did not feel that he was marginalized or that anyone would make fun of him, as sometimes passes in class.Yesterday, all the little ones of the Melilla Diabetics Association (Adimel) played without stopping with other children who passed through the Plaza Menéndez Pelayo and who did not hesitate for a moment to join the children's party.

In addition to the inflatable castles and the Zumba session, the mothers were encouraged to make makeup. After several sessions, the square was filled with ‘Spiderman’ and princesses.

The objective of the children's party that organized Adimel was to give an leisure option to children with diabetes to see that they can have fun like the rest of their classmates.

More than one tried to stay on stage with the Zumba monitors and even encouraged to sing Enrique Iglesias' song before learning his dance. This adimel effort was worth it, as its president, Pilar Avellaneda, said yesterday, because they got children with diabetes to relate to others of their ages and enjoy an afternoon of games.

On the other hand, the association installed an informative table for adults with all kinds of brochures about the disease, how are its first signs and the importance of carrying a healthy diet and exercising to prevent it.
Also in this stand, citizens had the opportunity to contribute Adimel buying a shirt for five euros. All the money collected from the sale will go to the workshops and activities of this entity.Today they will use this shirt to go for walking through the town.

Adimel's last activity for World Diabetes Day will take place this morning.Around 10:00 a group of volunteers of the entity will be at the gates of the Royal Maritime Club to register the people who wish on the walk through Melilla la Vieja.Participants must pay 5 euros and the association will give them a shirt with the motto: ‘Healthy eating begins with breakfast’.The march will doubt an hour and a half.

Why a walk?Adimel explains that physical exercise is one of the fundamental pillars to prevent the appearance of diabetes. With this walk through the town they will also raise awareness of adults about the importance of making a healthy diet, as well as not skipping breakfast, as the motto of their shirts pray, a balanced diet begins with this meal.
