The Minister of Health of the Province, Alejandro Collia, headed in Mar del Plata the opening of a diabetes training that summoned 500 teachers of public and private schools at the Sports Stadium in that city.

In the event, Collia celebrated the interest of educators and said that “the education system is one of the most important allies we have, because the teacher is the social agent who most significantly affects children and, through them, theHealth messages come to the family. ”

In this regard, he added that “as our governor, Daniel Scioli, health and public education sustains are two fundamental pillars in an active social state and in full development, and joint actions will allow progress in the prevention of a disease with very highprevalence such as diabetes and early detection in childhood. ”

The training was organized by the Ministry of Health and the General Directorate of Schools of the Province, through the Sanitary Region VIII and the Ministry of Local Health.The activity was declared of provincial interest by the Chamber of Deputies, by management of legislator Rodolfo Manino Iriart.

During the day, prestigious professionals from Mar del Plata and members of the “Technical Planning Council” Foundation (FCPT) and the NGO “Children and youth with type 1” diabetes referred to child diabetes, their symptoms, the importance ofEarly detection, diagnosis and treatment from the medical and psychological perspective.

They participated in the meeting, the Local Health Secretary, Alejandro Cristaldi;the Secretary of Education, Mónica Rodríguez Sammartino;the Councilor Marplatense, Alejandro Ferro;the executive director of the VIII Sanitary Region, Gustavo Rodríguez;The Regional Head of State Management, Jorge Olguín and NGO authorities “Children and Youth with Type 1 Diabetes”.(Source: Press Government)
