Good, I am type 1 diabetic, I debuted 2 months ago, and I have already returned to work, but I have to go to the doctor every time to continue controlling me ... (as we all know) but they tell me at workThat those hours of doctor, I have to recover them but I want to lose money. My question is, when considering type 1 diabetes mellitus, as serious illness, the hours I go to the doctor, I have to recover them or not?Since it is a chronic disease, I have enough to suffer it.

Thank you so much.

In such a case, and unfortunately how the thing is, I would compromise.Because later you will have to miss more due to analysis, consult with the endocrine or others, and even days that you get "bad" for sugar. And it is better not to predispose against the bosses.

The first thing you should do is read the collective agreement that they apply in your company and see what it says regarding paid permits, but it is normal for you to have to recover the hours or discuss them from the salary or ask for vacations.

As Prado says, these things are in the agreements. In my case I have 4 hours every time I have a medical visit that I should not recover, although I imagine there will be a stop.
It also depends on your company, since I go to the doctor every week and it gives me that I have passed from the quota and they have never put on me ...

It sounds to me that if the visit to is a specialist you do not have to recover it, but it is the head doctor yes.(Or a private doctor)

The best thing is that you read your agreement, and that if you have the right at that time I would not recover it.They are rights that we have won throughout history, and having to do things for fear ... I don't know ... it's an opinion. At least, I am tired of doing what they want.

I have been investigating a little, and in the statute of workers, article 37, there is a point which protects us.

It is not a matter of taking the leave every week, it is clear, but if every 2 or 3 months or the times that are missing, I have to go because I have a visit of the endocrine, being the type 1 diabetes, serious illness enters, the listof diseases, which have these (small) advantages, we have enough to suffer the day to day.

Anyway, if someone knows for sure, much better :)

Everyone knows the personal situation he has, and where he works but I in the times that would try to give the least possible problems. If I know that I need to go to the doctor frequently, at least on my part I would recover it because any day you get bad and psychologically it does not give you so much to be missing.

Gala, my father was an entrepreneur, and he was very clear about both the rights of the worker and the duties ...

I do not know, I am very happy (and I have finished in the company, that I have demanded to defend my rights) but fear is never good

Ugator, first you have to see what your agreement says and if there was no agreement is when you have to see the statute.

tica, I have been wage earner and I understand the position of whether by law it belongs to me ... but I am also autonomous and I tell you as an autonomous that I am now that I know it in advance, I would not hire a person whoI will be giving me continuously (and I say it that I have a diabetes and I know the whore that is and all that it entails so that one who does not have it does not tell you anything) because except the casualties by maternity/ partenity that theSS pays the social insurance of the substitute (only the docial insurance, not the salary) we eat the social insurance of the 2 workers and the salary also enter the 2, that is to say we pay for 2 when in reality the workplace isOnly one.And it is a barbarity of money that small businessmen who are the majority in Spain as it can be mine to keep you hard, not all self -employed or entrepreneurs are El Corte Inglés.
And yet if we are the ones who are ongoing or a permission to us or Christ gives us anything, it is day you lose and the same if we do not have a job, we have no unemployment, nor a settlement of course, we are totally unprotected.
So it is better to be happy to the bosses who at the moment does not walk the bubs for buns.
P.S.Nor do you have to be a slave to the bosses, but be good, reach an agreement

Hi Gala, you are all the reason in the world. That is why you propose, I consider that an insulin -dependent diabetic should have recognized the disability of 33%, you will not collect anything (to forget the one who wants that), but at least, when looking for a job, which whichYou hire you, you can feel encouraged knowing our "problem" (medical reviews, hypos that leave you "out" for 20-30 minutes, your "meals", etc ...).I think the same as you, with the offer of workers that there are right now (and like you, being diabetic and mortgaged with a dexcom -I do not have alternative-), if I have to look for personnel, logically eligate the most prepared, the healthiest and mostIncidentally, to the most handsome (if I can have everything at the same price) ... ah, and the most "Salao", which will not be difficult either.

Returning to the question ... at least in my case, I have never had to recover any time visiting the doctor, neither blood analysis nor anything (it is a German multinational) on the contrary everything is advantages. Now, to the owner of a small company (I put myself in his case), all this can be a serious problem (and go against his pocket) and may seem logical that he demands to recover not only that, if not any paradita for a "Glucosport"Either soda, or the downstream after hypoglycemia (come on, you're silly). Therefore, I insist, we should have recognized 33% disability to compensate for these entrepreneurs for "our" problem (SS reductions, and other advantages when hiring ourselves).

Find out about the collective agreement that is applied in your work and it would be best to agree with your responsible a solution that satisfies the 2 parties so as not to create tension situations that can harm you.

As the collective agreement read you, but visits to the fixed endocrine that enter PQ are a specialist, you would not have to recover them.

Also if you have good control you will end up going to the endocrine every 6 months, I mean that it is not so much, I have never missed because my diabetes has made me sick, but if for a cooling, or what happens that we have no right to get bad?

Now you will go to the doctor plus PQ you just debuted, but you will soon distance your visits, the analyzes do them before entering the work, and getting bad for diabetes is rare, a gastroenteritis is easier than that.

It is according to agreement, in my case, being a chronic disease I have hours available whenever it is a specialist.
It seemed incredible but they forced me to present a medical report to benefit from those hours ... (Long live the violation of my rights ...) But hey, do not specify what disease I had, only my header doctor put that I was a patient with chronic diseasethat I had to attend visits in unpacted hours.
