Here I leave more information about the project, strange as it may seem, the name of it, although very Spanish, is obtained from words in English ... here I leave it.;-)

The Andalusian Health Ministry and the Indra company, as a technological partner, lead an & D+I project of European scope whose purpose is to facilitate on online and safe access patients to their medical history through implementationgeneralized telemedicine services.

The project, called 'Palante' (Patient Leading and Manainaging their Healthcare Through Ehealth) , thus intends to help patients to play a more active role in health care, jointly with the teamDoctor who attends it, through new information and communication technologies, as reported on Thursday the company.

The initiative, which has a budget of 6.3 million, has an execution period of 36 months and is part of the European R&D projects 'competitiveness and inoovation framework program (CIP)'.The project contemplates the implementation of pilots in Spain (Andalusia and the Basque Country), Italy, Turkey, Norway, Austria and Czech Republic as well as two additional experiences in France and Denmark.

Specifically, Indra will coordinate and manage your participation in the project from its center of excellence in Advanced Digital Health in Seville. The IT company will act as a technical coordinator of the project and will be responsible for the implementation of pilots in different countries.

Among other functions will carry out the monitoring in real conditions of the selected telemedicine services set and will assume the analysis and design of the necessary adaptations for the integration of each pilot into the different health systems.

Likewise, the technological multinational will also participate in the definition of basic criteria and functionalities to guarantee a coherent approach to the services offered in the pilots and a common system for the exchange of experiences as well as in the evaluation of the results and impacts of health servicesElectronics experienced in each pilot.

Andalusian pilot

The Andalusia pilot constitutes one of the great contributions to the project and is based on the integration into the Andalusian health system of two prototypes-Cllic Health and Treatment 2.0-in whose development the center of excellence in Advanced Digital Health of Advanced Digital Health has actively participatedIndra in Seville.

Click Health, as the Minister of Health, María Jesús Montero, is a new service to the citizen that allows you to consult its summary medical history collected in Diraya by the professionals of the Andalusian public health system.

On the other hand, 'Treatment 2.0' is a generic midwimeware platform designed for the application and intelligent management of chronic disease treatment. The piloting will be made with 7,000 citizens with diabetes, both type I and II.

Their objectives will be to allow patients to access and the management of their health information registered in DirayHealth information.

In practice, a patient who has a digital certificate could access the data registered in their digital history for the consultation of clinical reports, treatments or allergies and contraindications, among others.

Of the same, for example, a diabetic would have the possibility of interacting with its sanitary file informing directly of the data recorded by its glucometer so that alerts can be generated incase they are outside the normality ranges.

Honestly, and with how little I know about this project, personally it seems to me a way to waste 6.4 million euros.

If the project goes that the patient is monitored by the solo, and that he puts his information of glycemia in a central system so that he can consult it ... there are websites and kicks that already do it, and free !!

Nor do I see that this will revolutionize anything, nor significantly improve the life of the diabetics, hopefully I am wrong ...

Wouldn't it be better to use this money to finance insulin pumps or continuous glucose monitors?, Or for needles?!

Sorry for the delay in writing ... well or less I already have the information by an email that my ATS has sent me.It is more or less what Fer has hung.I think I don't lose anything to sign up.In fact I already noted my daily figures in the notebook that I have of the SAS, in the phone's app, because it would be to score them in another place. The most complicated program, I think, is to validate the electronic signature, since it seems to me that I will have to go to the Treasury delegation to do so.Anyway, I will tell you how it goes.By the way, I live in Andalusia and for the moment I have had no problem with lancetas or with strips or needles.Greetings to all.

Well .. at least it serves to see clear the glucose variations throughout the day ... and see that it is not patients' fault.
