Hello everyone, I am new in the forum but not with the diabetes with which I have been 33 years.A few months ago I decided to stop going to the endocrine consultation since the uncle is more than unpleasant;Apart from the fact that I do not get anything new in your consultation and I am tired of going at all: I do the controls and I don't even look at them after 6 months, just look at the hemoglobin of the analyzes which does not communicate the figure and alwaysI have to ask her because it is as if I were not there; The insulin figures that advise me are exaggerated since sometimes it tells me that up to 5 units in each dose (3 fast and one of slow a day) and when I have paid attention I have had hypoglycemia at all hours not as when when whenI do it in my way;For years I have strong pain in my legs when walking that prevents me from walking well and I have to stop every little to rest and I told him and he only listened to the third consultation (18 months later), now I have broadcastingAccording to the neurologic but the endocrine demands more exercise to what I answer what I do what I can but he answers me badly and demands it to me;I have questioned him several times for insulin bombs and has never given me the most remote hope of putting on a after 33 years with 4 punctures a day and metformin the last 7;Two years ago he made a background test (he made her nurse) and said that she already had "incipient" retinopathy, as I did not trust I went to an ophthalmologist of payment and told me that nothing but now returned to me toRepeat and said the same (3 months ago). For all this, and I may leave something I have decided not to return because I am better without his advice and his passotism towards me, but I still have doubts about whether to ask for another doctor and I have been going around a lot. Has anyone lived something like that? What did he do? I just ask for opinion and it seems a lie after so many years .. Thanks in advance and forgive for the heaviness of the text.

Welcome to the forum
Do you have the possibility of changing endocrine? Is there another one that carries diabetes in your hospital or health center? If you have the possibility of changing a doctor, do it without hesitation ... it's your right. Legally even.
The issue is that for analytics and tests you will always need the doctor's signature. So on that side you "need them."
Unfortunately there are still anchored endocrine in the 19th century, they don't trust the patient and see it as a subject to which they can manipulate at will, who only has to obey what he/she says.
Nor do the majority understand that patients are no longer as before, that information flows much more and that we are now much better formed and informed thanks to the Internet.
Stop for the rest of the forum threads, which with 33 years of experience sure you have a lot to tell.

If I have thought several times to change my endocrine, and even the primary ate doctor has advised me because he has his mother also diabetics and had problems with the same endocrine. The issue is that this endocrine is the hospital section leader and, I do not know if they will be nonsense of mine, it may be able to change the endocrine is already conditioned by the boss;I say it because they have ever happened to me with another even having the boss (I think that when there are many people in the consultation) and what he says is always done. What do they think I can do? Thank you so much.

I would change and ask for another specialist. It doesn't matter if it is the unit manager, you can always put a complaint in patient care. One or more, even directly to the director of the center that is "your boss" and continue climbing until you get you or to change you better. In my opinion if we shut up and say nothing, we only manage that these doctors continue in their pattern and do not improve in the treatment of the patient and even in their professional training as endocrine.
That someone corrects me if not, but I am wrong, Spanish health allows the change of all medical specialties, except those of mental health as I believe. I would find out this topic and ask for a change.
