Well, I think no.
Insurance tend to oversize pre -existing pathologies before hiring insurance ... that is, they force to turn off such a scandalously high cousin that you better pay the doctor every time you visit him: shock :.
If this is not the case directly they reject you or do not include diabetes.
In addition, the supply of reactive strips, needles, glucometers and drugs is not included except for separate prima or specific insurance mode.
If being insured, diabetes are diagnosed, the treatment is already changing and there are usually no extra exclusions or premiums.
Now with the crisis insurers are opening a market (they are better) and they are beginning to make life and health insurance at somewhat lower prices, not reasonable.
One of the great shortcomings of this country is the issue of insurers for people with chronic diseases and/or disabilities ... There are simply no specific products.
Some initiative is in the Mediterranean area: D we hope that soon.
I leave you a link with the specific comparison of different insurers (it is completely below):

Hello, how are you? My daughter has a private insurance since I was born with Sanitas, she will turn 11 but if it is true and I am agreeing with the other comments that if you have debuted already, I tell you that they do not directly assure you or do not include youDiabetes, my daughter debuted a year ago and because I already had it before and they haven't uploaded hardly yet to walk from specialists and revenue I hope you find some insurer

Hello, in Sanitas they do take you but as you say you have to pay an extra premium (I think it is less than € 30 approx the extra premium).
It is true that it is a lot of money but in my case I changed my autonomous community and I did not even have the associated endocrine a lot helped me having the consultation in Sanitas. And the truth is that I prefer these consultations because they dedicate much longer and explain more than in social security than sometimes only 10 or 15 min in the consultation, I am at least delighted with the endocrine that I have in Sanitas.
