Hello!!I am new in this forum and in this new "world."My name is Fer, I am 30 years old and three months ago I debuted as a diabetic type 1. I hope to share my experiences with you and receive the occasional council because I really have many doubts.I supposedly "enjoy" my "honeymoon" and my insulin needs I think they are not very high.So far my treatment is with Novorapid and Levemir. In the morning I do not put insulin, before lunch I put 3 years quickly, before dinner the same, and before bed 9 slowly. The problem I see is that I do not stop eating to get well to each meal.In the morning I get up between 90-100.Breakfast at 7.30 five portions, glass of milk and sandwich. Two hours later my blood glucose is usually between 90-140.After that measurement throughout the morning I need to eat at least 6 more rations of carbohydrates to be able to reach lunch (on 13.00) to 90-100.In the afternoon it happens to me, after eating, everything is fine, and I need another 5 portions throughout the afternoon to get to dinner well.Anyway, I have the feeling that I am eating all day and I do not know if it is a consequence of slow insulin. The problem is that my doctor only saw me once after the debut and how apparently the situation was controlled no longer see me until the month of October !!!And of course it costs me enough to make decisions regarding insulin and others.Well I do not intend to be so boring in my presentation, although I think he has no remedy, hehehe.Thank you very much for reading and well, although I suppose that right now I am not very useful to give advice because you have a new friend for what you need.Thank you very much for everything and greetings.

Hello fer Welcome to the Club and the Forum ... We share treatment and almost debut age: 30-31
The most important thing is that you solve the visit to the endocrine ... It is nonsense that do not visit you again until October; The normal thing is that they see us every 3-4 months ... in all the assistance protocols of all the autonomous communities, it is a right that we have as patients. Much more serious, if possible, in your case with such a recent debut ... Another possibility is to go to the educational nurse in diabetes ... They are usually somewhat more accessible than the "great" ... although it depends on each hospital.
Regarding what you say about the food, it seems that you are on some Levemir unit (perhaps 2 or 3) ... you could download 1 Levemir unit and see for 1 week-10 days how it works ... the changes of insulin alwaysof unity unity ... and much more being in honeymoon.
Ale ... I've already opened your ban to ask what you want;)
