Diabetes is a "behavioral disease": habits that cannot be changed, usual and repetitive behaviors, responses to social pressure situations, anxiety, resistance to failure ... and all the etc we want.
As long as patients are not formed in this type of requirements there will always be a huge hole in patient care with diabetes.

In this regard, the coordinator of the Diabetes Working Group of the Spanish Society of Family and Community Medicine (SEMFYC), and member of the OSD Scientific Committee, the Álvarez de Guisasola, affirms that "all the modifications of conduct and behavior andof people's lifestyle are difficult to get and are complicated. "
It has fascinated us ... and much more difficult if those who try to do are ignorant in psychology or those who with a 75 -hour curs in behavioral psychology are already believed with sufficient authority ... if we already discuss the formation and ability of manyEndocrine about diabetes, in psychology we don't even talk ...

"It is necessary to have a diabetological formation that is regulated and continuous. It is not worth a master class of a doctor or educator and that is not repeated again in three years," says Ángel Cabrera, president of the Federation ofSpanish diabetics (Fede) and member of the OSD scientific committee.
Well, look that I would swear that the talk is just what this character is promoting throughout Spain ... in exchange for varied remuneration, of course.
