Nuvo treatment with Lantus

My glycosylated hemiglobin is 9.2, 10 years of diabtes, 30 of age, I start treatment with lantus 4 days ago and my glycemia remains over 250 mg dl, add crystalline dose, I haveI return to NPH and crystalline treatment, I don't want to inject myself three times a day ... what do I do?Should I add a crystalline dose with lunch?Or with breakfast one of NPH?The doctors in Colombia do not have much experience ... I'm disoriented ... and desperate ..

Hi, Dannathina.

I believe that Lantus treatment is much better and gets better results than with NPH.Without Emabgo, for what you have, you were not using correctly and, of course, it does not work if your goal is to prick you a few times.
Lantus is an insulin that only covers the basal needs (not counting the intakes) and you need to apply ultra -grape insulin every time you eat (breakfast, food, dinner, etc.)

This will achieve very good control, but you should not limit the number of punctures, because then it would not serve as a treatment.
