I would like to ask the specialists that recommendations are for the issue of tests with contrast.
I am interested in the subject of kidneys and on the other hand the internal ear in both cases ask me contrast.I would like to extend it for any image test for having a global vision.

I would like to know what to stick to and what added risks I have to be diabetic 1.
The contrasts can be cried for renal function and what are the most, let's call him, risky.
Thank you so much

Well, to start or think of putting the pump inside the resonance, or the CT or the rays;)

A link:

Another link about iodized contrast and nephropathy:
Basically, precautions must be taken in this case and using low intensity doses, it is what the article comes to say

Metformin does have to be suspended in case of iodized contrast, but insulin no.

of internal ear or idea

Thank you very much for the page.
I think you paste the same link by mistake (in the second link)
In which it appears it does not say that concentration (if it is mixture) or volume (if it is less volume) of iodized contrast injected into blood would be "safe" for a patient with DB1.
Do you know that information?

Thank you

Yes, true

Let's see now: Link ;rct=j& ;q=&... VPLYRMQM-A

It is a presentation in Power Point, does not speak specifically of DM1 ... only mentions metformin.

In any case, with DM1 we are considered risk (in this and almost everything) so the radiologist has to set more in these cases

The fantastic ppt !!
The ear test is magnetic resonance, I don't know what is used there.
Nuclear medicine I will not have.I think neurological tests are nuclear medicine.
Thank you.

In the resonance the gadolineo is used:
It does not seem that there are major problems with that substance.

Normally in nuclear medicine injects radioactive isotopes and measure through them what interests them ... for example, they usually use renal gammography to evaluate the rion.
