Hello,

I am new, I have been diabetics for 21 years and I have been a insulin bomb for 8 years, so I am from the veteran, the truth is that I have been diabetics for years has not related me much to diabetic people and I would like to share experiencesand even help people who have just emerged in this.

With the time I read with diabetes, small complications begin to get out but I have been quite well, I would like to know if there is someone who also begins to leave some complication over the years.

Thank you!

Hi Nika, I have only been diabetic for a month and a half, so my experience is short, short ...

Is the bomb comfortably?I do not get the idea of carrying it hanging all the time, I think the pen is freer, but I read that everyone who uses it, you are delighted with it.

Greetings.

At the moment I do nothing but lower the daily doses to try to reach the next meal with a decent glycemia.

Hello guys, the bomb is not uncomfortable, the fact of always wearing it is a matter of getting used, and the discomfort is just aesthetics, the difference with the pen is that it gives you more freedom of schedules and foods because you do not have to be pendingFrom what time to click and eat but you do it when you feel like it and you can also control the fact of being active or on the contrary be sleeping all day.
all the best

Nika's original chat is from July 2009!But I think there are issues about the use of the pump or you can open a new one

Hello I have been with diabetes 41 years. The best way to have diabetes to ral is the pump with ccontrol IQ since throughout the day we do not need the same dose. This bomb you put the basal dose you need, if you are uploading it, it releases you insulin, if you are going to downloadFor the supply, to eat you say the hydrates and calculate the dose, to exercise it reduces the supply and to sleep it keeps the levels.

@titimartinez, what glucosilada do you get with the pump?If you do not go from 120 it will be perfect.

I have been 3.5 years, the first luxury, then regular, there are days that shoots without knowing why, corrective bowling or anything.Sometimes I think about the return I created a DBT for basal 150 % and sometimes as if Juan and Manuela.Sometimes I plan to return to endocrine and how far it arrives. There are afternoons that without snack begins to rise without explanation.I don't understand anything!!

Don't do that. Some solution has to be.
Will it be a basal lack .. only the climb passes in the afternoon?

@Javieri The afternoon climb is usual, at about 7:00 p.m. it is segregated glucose;according to each person;I get it down with sport but if I can't, I wear fast insulin and voila.

The lack of controls are part of diabetes, it is what this disease has, every day is different. You can affect you stress, a virus, a bactercter ... a thousand things.

If you have the basal well adjusted, you should not have many changes between meals.Another thing is that you do not calculate insulin for the food you make and stay high between hours.Over the years, insulin needs change, it is normal for you to have it well, surely the reserve to the debut was not bad, but over time the honeymoon ends and we began to need more insulin.

Lada enero 2015.
Uso Toujeo y Novorapid.

Hi Nika, because I have been with diabetes and almost 3 with a bomb, today, I would not return to feathers or coña.
The complications have already come out (rebel years being a teenager I have paid as an adult), I have retinopathy, I am operated with laser and I touch wood, I see perfectly, except this, nothing more that the DB has annoyed me.
All the best
