Hi Carmen .... What treatment does it have? ... you will have to keep the basal (Lantus, Levemir), in case of being well adjusted.I suppose that it will not tolerate food in a few hours, so measuring to see that it does not lower it too much, and if so, Aquarius with sorbit sugar ... It is also important to see the ketone bodies in blood and if they are positive to act to eliminate them.... If it is a gastroenteritis, carbohydrates may be badly absorbed in the next few days, even if the food tolerate, so be careful with fast insulin until it is fully replaced, better adjust this downward ...
Come, it is normal for you to find anguish, it has happened to us all.Much encouragement and keep telling.

I do not know what kind of insulin you use. If it is flat, Lantus type, there is no major problem in keeping glucose stable even though it does not eat, but, if you use NPH, you will have to give sugary drinks (queues, seros, juices ...)And, as you improve, you are giving it light food, adjusting insulin.
If you see that the vomiting do not send and does not admit líqudos, call for emergencies to put it primpeal or take the hospital.
To improve soon

Thank you very much for the information. This morning he vomited but has not done it again. It is not gastroonth, it must have been a digestion cut since it had dinner and went immediately to the bed and at 4 in the morning I had to give half a ration of milk because it was a bit short.
He uses Levemir and Novorrapod.
Thank you very much for your help and I hope to be in contact with you.(Until now he reads you every day but as we are new in this diabetes .....).
See you soon.

Thanks for your interest, Velia.Yes, Andrés is already fully recovered, it was a digestion cut, because that night just finished dinner, he went to bed and at 4 I had to give him a milk base because he was a bit low. When he vomited, I got to measure every quarter of an hour and went down to 57 but I gave him half Coca Cola and started up.Then I wanted to eat and gave him his rations although I click him a little less than usual and when he measured him perfect. Many thanks for everything.
