Hello, Chuy, welcome! What glycosylated hemoglobin do you have?If you have it greater than 7, you will have to put insulin and try to lower it, because if not the complications can be serious. The injections do not hurt anything with the PEN or the 5mm needles. You do not notice almost the puncture and you will improve the control.

Hello, I am new here, and I need help. I have no diabetes, but my cousin is currently 17, I have been for more than 10 years. The problem is that lately it is depressed, it fails to control the levels, and thatThe frustrating one.
The doctors say they do not give any solution, they have passed since they passed it to the adult doctor.Live in Toledo. Finally, throw me a hand, I would love to help her and see her happy new.

Hi, Xenia,!Surely your cousin will improve your mood if you see that you can control your diabetes, but, for this, you have to find out how insulin and hydrates act.I guess you will have a diabetes educator who can guide her.
Tell him to read the forum, which has a lot of information.
If you do not get good control, you can request the bomb to your endocrine, which will assess it.
Good luck and encouragement!

Yes, the problem is that he does not have an educator as such, only his header, and they do not give him many guidelines. What he can, try to control, exercise, eat what he has k eaten ... but nothing, thelevels rise and fall dangerously. Then the bomb can still enter for social security? She has not told her no, that social security does not cover it and she missed me, that's why I consulted you ... Pk I saw k before if she covered her.
All the best.

If the social SS puts it in the necessary cases, when good control is not achieved. But to put a pump there are also many knowledge in portions and doses of insulin, because it must be programmed and adjusted it continuously (it does not work alone).
Your cousin must request control with an endocrine team and educators, your head doctor must derive it to the specialist and follow up with clear guidelines. If a change of insulin guidelines is necessary, it would be best for a few days of hospitalization.
What insulins do you use?

Glycosylated hemoglobin is the percentage of hemoglobin that binds to glucose. It is the best control indicator. In non -diabetics it is less than 5.5.In diabetics the control is very good when it is below 6.5.You have to try to approach this value, but minimizing the risk of hypoglycemia.
To do this we must study the treatment and have good information in action of insulins and food.
Sometimes it is not so easy, but you have to try, without forgetting to live, of course!
