The Association of Diabetics of Camp de Morvedre, in collaboration with the City of Sagunto, organized this day that had a talk by the Debora Burks researcher.
The Civic Center of Puerto de Sagunto hosted last Friday, April 27, a day on diabetes research organized by the Diabetics Association of Camp de Morvedre (Addicam) in collaboration with the City of Sagunto.
The day was starring Cristina Ponce, mother of a girl with diabetes, who after the budget cuts in the Prince Felipe Research Center and the consequent paralysis of research on diabetes mellitus, “made the determination to do everything possible so that thatstudy will continue forward, not only for your daughter, but for all people with diabetes. ”Cristina Ponce presented to the attendees the Paula solidarity project, which already has national transcendence and has achieved funds through different initiatives.
In addition, the day had a talk by the researcher in molecular endocrinology, Debora Burks, about projects to cure and stop the diabetes in which he is currently working, “thanks to Cristina's work and the generosity of all the people who demonstrate theirsolidarity collaborating economically with the project ”.
The act also attended the delegates Davinia Bono and Concha Peláez, in addition to the companion of the Debora Burks researcher, Silvia Sanz, and the president of the Diabetes Association of Valencia.
The Social Services Delegate, emphasizes that "it is a very important initiative because it has served to publicize the lines of research on this disease that affects so many people."
