Teachers will learn to treat diabetic children in a course in palm
The teachers of Infant and Primary Education will learn to treat their students diagnosed with diabetes in a course of eight hours that will be held on October 5 and 6 in Palma.
The course "El Niño with Diabetes in the School" is intended for teachers who are in charge of minors with this disease, preferably guardians and specialist teachers with priority to those of physical education.
Organized by the Department of Education and Culture, it aims to acquire knowledge and skills to facilitate a healthy lifestyle of children and be able to adequately serve them in the school environment.
It will be held at the Palma CEP, located on Gregorio Marañón Street, and it will talk about food, schedules and restrictions for these children;of their peculiarities when exercising;of diabetes treatment (insulin), and special situations that teachers can face, such as excursions, parties or vomiting.
The speakers will be the nurse Toni Galán and the pediatrician Maria Caimari and the registration to the course is open until next Tuesday.
