The presence of nurses in schools and institutes is a claim that comes from afar, but so far it had not been completed. Now, a fortnight of associations of patients with diabetes, heart disease, anorexia and cancer, among other diseases, have taken a step forward with the creation of the platform for health care in schools.

The project will be presented tomorrow to the public within the activities of the First Interactive Diabetes Forum organized by Adirmu, one of the project driving associations. The platform will open its doors to the participation of parents, health and teachers.

In fact, the initiative is actually born from the personal effort of several teachers.Teresa Alberca is one of them.He teaches in high school and has a 9 -year -old diabetic son, so he knows the two slopes of the problem. As a mother, you are concerned that your child does not properly receive the medication you need in the face of a hypothetical sugar downturn.

The presence of a toilet in schools is, for her, the only solution.«It is a necessary professional not only to serve diabetic children or with some other problem. Also to act if a fall or any accident occurs ».
