Hello everyone

elennen's profile photo   05/15/2008 5:38 p.m.

Hello, I am new here and I would like to introduce myself, I am 22 years old and a year ago that I was diagnosed with hyperinsulinemia with reactive hypoglycemia.I know that it is not exactly diabetes of mine, but I have a lot of family that is: my father, a uncle grandfather from paternal, two aunts grandmothers by maternal part and my maternal grandmother. My endocrine explained to me that, in general, over the years people like me go to type 2 diabetes.
At the moment I carry a diet that restricts the carbohydrates and glucose quite a lot, also I take glucobay.

I have to admit that when I was diagnosed, I spent the day crying in my house, I, the three -story Sandwich of Nocilla, the great devouring of pizzas, chocolate and chucherias of any kind ... everything came over me.Well writing the industrial amounts of sweet that I consumed you thought I was obesa, but no, I always ate what I wanted without gaining.

The alarm jumps a day in which I, as usual, are not deprived of eating, I zampe half tortilla of potatoes with its corresponding bread, a glass of wine and for dessert a good piece of chocolate. At 2 hours I began to tremble and I was very dizzy, then the cold sweat and blurred vision came.My father click me with his glucometer and had 40 glucose.I was two days admitted to the hospital because there was no way to climb the glucose level, well yes, they rose it to me, but in a half -hour thing I went down again dangerously.

Well I have already introduced myself and explained to you what my sugar problems consist of, I wait for your answers!

: Shock: Hello Elennen.First of all welcome.
I do not just understand your problem, if you have hyperinsulinemia, yours would be excessless without problem, what you need are carbohydrates so that this excess of insulin does not produce the hypos.
Proof of this is that after eating the tortilla, etc.You get with 40 glu.You should have eaten the entire tortilla.
I know closely a case of a baby who was born with your problem and had to put a direct probe to the stomach to feed it repeatedly a day and avoid the hypos.
His mother after a long coming and going through different hospitals, did not give up and got him to operate and removed a portion of the pancreas, exactly a percentage of islets (who caught them).
A success, the child stops having hypos, feeds normal and even closed the entrance of the probe.A normal child.
In case it serves you, this operation was carried out at the Xeral Hospital in Vigo.;);)

Well, one more that welcomes you.

In your place, I would ask for a second opinion, just in case.
Apparently, it is clear that your pancreas is excessively hardworkIsn't it a medicine against insulin resistance? In that case they would be aggravating the problem.

I don't know, I hope you find the right endocrine and give you the treatment you need.

Greetings

Hello welcome.

Nor do I know that disease, but I think I understand that the more hydrates and sugars the greater the amount of insulin: shock: ... so much that you have plenty ...

Greetings

Peace

Thank you for recommending that you ask for a second opinion, I have already gone through three endocrine and all agree. What happens to me is that when as hydrates my pancreas becomes majarara and manufactures too much insulin abruptly, from there the descent.Glucobay causes hydrates to absorb more slowly, thus avoiding the gross response of pancreas. In addition to the crazy reactions of my pancreas, I always have the most altites of the normal insulin.I will tell you that I am phenomenal since I follow the diet and take glucobay. Before diagnosing I was quite fucked, all the dizzy and with that feeling of tiredness.

Hi Elenn, welcome !!

In this case you can say that of some "so many and others so little" ... insulin, I say;)

José Precisely Elen's problem is the opposite, the agency reacts to insulin-resistance producing large amounts of insulin, so how many more sugars in circulation more insulin produces to be able to assimilate them and ... more hypos, so there is no choice butthan having hydrates under control, eating more often and in small quantities, having the weight under control and doing physical exercise, in short, helping to metabolize to avoid excess insulin.

I'm glad you carry things so well Elenn !!

That is Kalua, you have explained it great, you have given on the nail !!!I have a hard time exercise because I barely have time, work and study, I have a somewhat stressful life! But I force myself every day to do something, even if it is half a horita, or even if it is only lightly walking from the mouth of the subway to the office.Anyway I have bought the game this for the Wii, it's called Wii Fit, you exercise and you have a good time.So I do something every day.

Hello !
I think they can help you here, because there are many specialists.
A very innovative portal has been launched, which has 21 different specialties to meet all our doubts about our illness and others, all are collegiate professionals in their respective professional associations.

I have consulted the gynecologist and hired a dietary plan. They are helping me a lot, since there is a lot of information in the network but not given by expert professionals.

Congratulations to its creators.
We have to transmit this information, since it is a magnificent help to ask the specialist from our own home and at any time.I think they guarantee the answer in less than 24 hours.

All the best.

Let's see, I haven't had time to see that website slowly, but I think it's enough:
That is not a selfless help portal. It is a business. It does not speak of users, but of customers, that is, that you have to pay for the services.

For that, I prefer the life of a lifetime, what do you want me to tell you.Pay to raise a question and take up to 24 hours to answer you, I don't think any bargain.

Thank you anyway, because I suppose you will have nothing to do with that portal, right?Come on, it is not covert advertising or anything. If I am misguided ...

Greetings

Hi Soniaa,

Anyway, the innovative portal must be true, at least I do not remember seeing another "private office" on the network with 21 specialists.I have seen, of course, professionals who were making them available to those who needed it to try to solve small doubts ... because another thing that is not "a small doubt" I find it very difficult to believe that you can resolve online.

Anyway, pages and diabetic forums to exchange experiences and information seem indispensable to me;Pages with 21 Payment Specialists "seems to me a waste ... unnecessary

Anyway mine is just an opinion!

Hello A Alea and Kalua!

I try to inform (it is not advertising or anything like that), I know that I do well with them because they have taken me out of doubt that I had and of course more of collegiate professionals with photo and curriculum, to give me information someoneof the network that is not.

And of course it is a business, but from my point of view, "welcome are business like this" that can audo us.Business are strips for blood glucose, lancetas, insulins, etc.and? They are necessary for us.
If the private initiative did not exist, it would not be investigated, new things would not come out, etc., etc.

What I know is that to be able to see the GP, I need to wait 2 or 3 days in the best case to meet. And I don't want to say hospital specialists, see gines, endocrine, ophthalmologists, ... (how many months to see you?

The only thing I say is an aid that complements me in information, that to working mothers like me, which has little time is very useful.

And I think not only me, because I think he is having quite successful.

All the best.

Ok Sonia, because if that "possibility" can be useful to you, I'm glad, I have no intention of convincing anyone otherwise, no matter how much it costs me to imagine an online gynecological visit ...

So, welcome to the forum !!(What do you think I hadn't told you)
I hope that when you have two minutes now that you know where we are again "to visit us"

All the best

I think we look a lot because I am having a very bad time because I can not eat chocolate that I am an addict.
CHEER UP!!;)
