3 issues that nobody has resolved to me:
- Immunosuppressants have improved, but it seems that even with their own cells you have to take immunosuppressants ....
- Surely the immune system does not become idiot again and gives it, again, the pancreas cells?
- They already control cell reproduction or are still in the Soria Iclite phase (neoplasia after neoplasm without control) ?????

I answer you from my idiocia competence in medical research:

- NO.They have not improved. The immunosuppressive treatment for life currently still does not compensate for any procedure of this type, unless the patient is already a transplant.
- Indeed, the body ends up rejecting the implanted cells again, whether donor or cloned by genetic therapy. That is currently the problem. The Quid is found in the bone marrow, which is the one who creates the cells that will subsequently attack insulin producers. It is not known how to "reprogram" that wrong information.
- NO.In fact, as far as I know, there are already several experiments that fail precisely because of that cause.

Personally, although he recognizes that indeed, for pure comparison, much more is known than 20 years ago ... I think they are still in diapers on this subject.
A route that seems interesting to me and in which they have been implanting "irrevious" cells via encapusalmiento. That would avoid rejection, but they must still control their self -application and some things related to their correct functioning with respect to the need or not to produce more insulin.

ISCI / debut: 1986 / HbA1c: 5,5%

As Ramón Gomis commented, in diabetes there is a lack of basic knowledge to find the solution, which does not mean that it cannot be found ... only that it is much more difficult. He commented that the base research started with the genome, was only the beginning and that the proteom and different "OSCAS" were much more important to open the book of the explanations of several chronic diseases.

With immunosuppressants meant that treatment is no longer so "tired" and that doses have been reduced maintaining the same effect ... evidently it is for a lifetime;Comparing I prefer daily insulin clicks than daily immunosuppressants.(very dangerous).
