Good, these last two days is happening to me something very rare that had never happened to me before.Three times he has appeared "what" in the measuring machine, which had never happened to me.Twice I did notice symptoms, another no ... I have solved them without problems, but now I have a constant sensation of hypoglycemia, which when verifying it however it is not.Last week it was a week of unusual physical activity, although not excessive ... So far everything is good ... well, now a clarification, that although it does not have to be related, there is, it is a product of a worrying mind Ajaja... consumption quite cocacola light and chewing gum, and I have been reading about the effect of the aspartamThey can be similar to those of hypoglycemia!I also know that these three hypoglycemia are inadvertent hypoglycemia, at least one of them, and the other two, although they were warned, were something late.I know that the loss of those sensations that indicate the presence of hypoglycemia can be reversed, but there is also the presence of a sensation of prolonged hypoglycemia, without having it ... I am very worried ...

What do you think?

Thank you, really, for your attention.I don't know what to do or what to think.

Hello good.
The first thing, check that the glucometer is well calibrated.
The feeling of hypoglycemia without glycemia being low can come because they have been with high figures. The best thing is to have enough controls and write down everything.
As for the gum, I had never heard that they provoked those sensations. What they usually cause, if they are in excess, is intestinal discomfort and diarrhea, as a consequence of the polyalcohols, not of the aspartame.

You may have to adjust insulin, if you have frequent hypoglycemioas.

You raise all the doubts you want, that we will all try to lend a hand.

Very good!Well, first of all, thank you very much for the answers, the attention is appreciated.Due to the feeling of constant hypoglycemia without really having it, I went to emergency on Friday, where they performed urine and blood analysis, not finding anything unusual ... Anyway, the feeling of hypoglycemia continues since Wednesday ... it is accentuatedEspecially at 4-5 in the afternoon ... at that time I have a feeling of toootal low.I do not know if after those two lows so strong that they gave me my body, it has been resentful ... it is possible ... but the days go by and I will remain the same, tomorrow I will go to the doctor and see what they tell me this time,If not, another blood test, I suppose, adding hormones and such (a month ago they told me that in the future I could develop hypothyroidism, and that it would already be seen as it was).Anyway, I am already tired ... all week the same, almost totally locked at home ... to see what happens. Thanks again;)

Hello good!Since that consultation has rained a lot, and here I am hehe again. They practiced blood tests, they also analyzed hormones, and all correct. The feeling of hypoglycemia, weakness and such persists, and I do not know if it can be psychological, that is, anxiety, and it produces the same symptoms; The persistence of these symptoms would lead me to worry and confuse it with hypoglycemia. In summary, I never forget the sensation, either because I doubt whether I have low sugar or not, and when I measure it and I check that it is notThus, I continue concerned about why this feeling. If so, it is like a vicious circle. Has it happened?Do you know someone who has happened to him?In general I am quite discouraged since then, and the symptoms of depression, anxiety etcRead about such and what a disease ... and you overwhelm.A few days I tell myself that this will be solved and that it is only psychological and others I want to bite to the wall and paste a despair of despair hahaha

What do you think? What can I do?

Ander89, the same thing happens to me.Maybe not as often as you, but from time to time I feel that I am low and, when I measure the sugar, I can even be 160: shock: sometimes I also feel like tachycardial and how with nerves (which are the symptomsThat I usually have with the hypos) but it is not a hiccup either ... and I do not know what it can be due, I planned to comment with my endocrine and my educator on Wednesday, which I have an appointment, and to see if they clarify something to me.If you know why and/or have any solution, I will let you know.In any case, if you see that they cannot give you any solution at the physical level, I would go to the psychologist. You don't lose anything for trying ... maybe it's a problem of stress or anxiety ...

All the best.

I have that same feeling myself, especially when I know that the time of the food is approaching, when I detected the diabetes I was almost a month with a drop at noon every day and it was horrible, now that I have it more adjusted I do not havebarely.
It is true that when the eating time comes I start to tremble, to sweat ... like a descent but I look at myself and it is all psychological.
You have a case of Jorditel, it is not a bad idea to ask for psychological help that it is not a dishonor and we would all have to go through many things.
I hope the subject is gradually solved.
A hug.

First, thank you for the answers. It must be something psychological. So all I need is encouragement and know that this will happen, because what retains me in this situation is doubt, thinking that could be something else.It seems that I must eliminate that idea of my head as soon as possible ... think positively ... nothing to get the worst and despair (this is easy to say but not so much to carry out).

Next month I have an appointment, the usual consultation.I will comment again to see what tells me, what advice gives me.Meanwhile to do sports and everything and take care of myself as much as possible, and to occupy all the time I can in things that require all my attention haha.I will tell you, and before any novelty tell me!

Again thank you, a hug.Let's see if we solve this problem hehe

Of course, you have to be positive.Think that, with all the analyzes and follow -ups (or alms should), it is very difficult for us not to detect any other disease :))

Take care and see if this improves soon. All the best ;)

When diabetes I prefer to talk about metabolic situation so as not to always guide the disease.Let's say that diabetic has a different "metabolism. It is a complex situation that entails a need for greater care and that because of that complexity can exceed the one in that situation.

Why talk about a situation and not diabetes?Because it is highly recommended that the person in this situation does not feel healthy. That is, a diabetic can be a healthy person with adequate care.

The apprehension may be playing a bad pass.In any case there are other causes for what happens to you and it seems that the most important have already been ruled out (especially in relation to hypothyroidism).

Honestly and without knowing that other concerns can affect you, it is important that you internalize that it is normal to be healthy (feeling not healthy is not the most appropriate for good mental health that significantly influences everything else). And above all and within human limits have not only an attitude but a language as positive as possible (on the Internet you can find something about positive language, although there are also good books about it).Good psychology must begin to apply it.Surely you can find 1000 things that excite you to divert your attention there and not other less productive things (98-99 % of people have things that excite you).

Well, I hope the paragraph has served something.Good luck, to improve and improve.Take care of yourself like the one you have more and you probably have much better health than the non -diabetic that does not take care of yourself and to get into your head than to be diabetic is different from not being healthy.

An example of what Pedro Jimenez says is the diabetic word ...
It is that of being or being.
We are not diabetics ... we are Pedro Jimenez, Owash Juanluis or Prado and we have a disease.
It is curious, in a few other diseases it happens ...
Similar case happens with people in wheelchairs ... As I usually say, the chair always goes behind the person but most of the world's world see before the person.

If it were a good psychologist, I would remember what an individual aspect is called to globalize to qualify/distinguish/recognize a person.

In this, health professionals are the first to give an example:
- Obviate the word diabetic
- Insist that type 2 diabetes is a disease ... and not a bit of sugar.
- Eliminate the word "sugar" ... how difficult is glycemia and that we all get used to?

Hello, I am new in the chat, I have been diabetic for 12 years and 10 have been normal, with my descents and ups but there are normal life, now I have been two years, with those same symptoms, it seems like the low tango, I get trembling and tachycardias and tachycardias and tachycardia andWhen looking at her, it enters 1.45 or 1.60, as Lelvo thus two years I have been investigating and in the end he ends up going down, it happens above all when going out, it is already going out and giving me the low, I use Lantus at night and humalog fastIn meals, I shed pokisimo, and I got a lot, before when I had my descents I controlled them well and I would upload them without problem, now take a lot to go up, take hours and once okay then they give me an incredible subidon,It was a time giving the can in the doctor, they blamed the anxiety, but I noted that out of that, at the same time I came back with one of the Ke analysis made me wondering that it was something that I had high and it was TB thyroid problems, they sent meEutirox pills, but I still remain the same, the doctor says that tachycardia is normal becauseNot at all, the only thing that I did was always be sleepy and that they were one of the lowest, and there I do not visit the doctor, I am thinking of going to private doctors to see if they give me solution since in two years I do notThey have helped anything, I wait for your opinions thanks

Hi Wimna, welcome to the forum !!!!
Hypothyroidism produces tachycardia and other sensations, but that disappear when it is controlled ... If you do not go to the doctor, you do not have the medication well adjusted and therefore continue to have symptoms ...
On the other hand, TB anxiety. It produces similar symptoms, tachycardia, dizziness, nervousness ... they could easily be confused with a hiccy ...
On the other hand, your symptoms are due to an abrupt descent from glycemia and even if you are in 140 or 160 glucians you have that feeling ... Check if it happens to you at the time or fourth time to wear the fast, sometimes those thosesymptoms coincide with the peak of maximum insulin action.
However, I recommend a second opinion ... Do not stop going to the doctor, if yours does not give you confidence asks for change to another specialist.Do not be discouraged, you will surely find a solution to your problem.
Much encouragement and here we are for what you need.

Hello, how are you, I am diabetic since the age of 10 (now I have 21) and I have always maintained optimal control with my diabetes (hemoglobins of 5.5 to 7.0), although with a somewhat different method than my doctor imposed me since the beginning ofThe disease. However, lately I have felt sensations of hypoglycemia, when in reality, it was not so (according to the meter). My question for all those who suffer from these pseudo hypoglycemia is, what kind of insulin do they use?In my personal case I am using NPH (Insulatard Flex Pen) and Ultra Fast (Novorapid Flex Pen). This will serve if the cause is intrinsic to the medication or not.
Thank you.
