Insulin classes
What is the difference between insulin aspart, aspart bifasic and determine?I have seen them in Publi from Novo Nordisk and I don't know what is going.
They basically differ in their action profile.
In this link you can see those that are today:
Aspart insulin is what we know by ultra -grape (Novorapid, Humalog, Apidra)
Bifasic Aspart will refer to Novomix 30, it is an insulin that acts in 2 phases: a first ultra -granted action (30) and a second phase of slow action (70)
The rest of the mixed insulin follow the same pattern, with different actions (10: 90.50: 50)
Levemir is a slow action insulin (from 14-16 hours ...)
Ok, but it is not a levem but to stop, but I suppose it will be the same more or less.
thank you so much
Levemir is the commercial name of Insulin Detemir.

There are no silly questions, what is silly is to keep doubts hehehe;)
