Would you know how to tell me why a diabetic cannot be shaved with wax or depilatory bands?
What would be the best form of hair removal for diabetic?
Thank you.
Peace

I don't see what contraindication we can have ... Is the wax considered carbohydrate?
: Mrgreen:
Well, I wonder, but in the depilatory bands I have at home, in the section precautions of use puts "not to use for diabetic people" :?:
I guess it will be in case there is any circulation problem or a neuropathy, right?Because I can't find an explanation .....: Shock:
Well, I am surprised ... I used to be diabetic, I used the bands at home ... and then I went to the wax in the aesthetics center, but I have never stopped to think whether or not it may be contraindicated by diabetes.
What if I ask my endo, is if I could make me the laser and told me that without problem.
I'm sorry peace for not helping you, but if anyone knows anything else, ... that tells us.
Maybe it's x if you get, with that what our wounds take longer to heal ...
Are things of mine or under this thread, is there a banner with advertising of dermoesthetic corporation, with hair removal offers?Hahahaha: Shock:
Our wounds take longer to heal if there is a bad control of diabetes, with good control (- 7 of hemoglobin) any wound closes in normal time.
I believe that the wax is because someone (probably in the US) ate the wax as if it were Nocilla and caused hyperglycemia, sued the clinic and since then they put that message: Twisted:
I swear or promise that I have nothing to do with that advertising :?
I think that not allowing the use of diabetics will be, as Prado says, for circulatory problamas, because if I do not explain it: o
Yes but one thing ... for circulatory problems they do not recommend hot wax, but the warm or cold wax ... no problem, and the wax of the bands, very hot it cannot go because it warms it with your hands before putting them... I mean, with less reason ... Enfin, to know what the "subject" is ...
I asked the educator and told me that it was for the circulation just like the things that sell you for your feet, it is a warning that should not be taken into account if you have good control.
Precisely 3 years ago I made my legs hot, they got very red and ended up dark spots for a lifetime ...... my dermatologist told me that it usually goes out for poor circulation, what happened isThat I move forward with the wax.... And now I have my legs with spots.
The dermatologist does not give me hope of being able to remove them, but I still expect some solution, at least I can hide them.
Too bad not having read this post before... I would not have shaved and no stain would have left....
Isn't they burned?

I think it is because of the possible loss or alteration of sensitivity, neuropathy type and we will burn by not noticing if it is too hot.
I imagine that warning will be just those people but just in case they heal

I have been shaving with hot wax since the age of 14 (and I am a diabetic since 11) and I have had any problem.
Now for a couple of years, I am doing photodepilation, and more of the same.I do not understand the contraindication with diabetes, and I think that if an alteration appears, it is due to another problem.

I also have the laser made years ago and I have not had any problem or told me anything before.
But if I know for my professioon that all the processes in which there is heat by meanshealing, especially in older people, or with very bad control for many years, normally in young people there is no problem

Let's see even if I thought I am very bad for sports theme I have shaved with wax, depilatory bands and now with photodepilation, for sports hygiene, in legs, abdomen, chest and back.I have not had any problem with any form of depilation due to normal causes except with the photodepilation that burned me on my legs and if I put the photos, I would be scared, second grade burns pronfudas, the healing was very good and the brands have already disappeared and then I hadA strong hypopigmentation of the areas where I made the photodepilation, it was a good scare that stayed there, that if now with a 50 + photoprotector or total physical screen, if I know that I will be many hours exposed to the sun, which what II usually
I have never heard that there may be problems due to depilation, the problem is if an alteration arises and the skin does not recover well.

Now they have left some photodepilation machines at home. I'm thinking of buying one, but I don't know results, has anyone tried them?
