The feathers fail?

Hello everyone!I am new in insulin for three weeks.I would like to ask you if insulin feathers have failed you.

It turns out that it has happened to me, injecting and when I squeeze the notice button that is squeezed very easily.I have then proven on occasion trying it without injected that it certainly fails and does not expel the dose.It has already happened to me on occasion with the two feathers that I have used.

If it happened to you, how are you sure it?What do you do?Because yesterday it seemed to me but I was afraid to inject myself again just in case and then at two hours I was high.Today has happened to me, and I have injected myself again and now I'm afraid to have doubled.

Many thanks for everything.Greetings.

Yes, it is a bagpipe, specifically with the novorapid, although only a couple of times. It is as if the mechanism fails, and you notice, as you say, because you squeeze and .... you have noticeable, you have not noticed pressure or na, not like when you purge and do not throw, then you notice the pressure, if not.... as if there was no mechanism. The fact is that he has not cast insulin.Solution?First check that that is indeed, repeating "dry", I failed several times in a row, second throw the ball, and third shit in and be very attentive to the post to rectify quickly.

Hi Rosa:
What I do is purge very well before putting the insulin because the novo feathers that are the ones I know.
Sometimes they move a washer that is at the end of the thread.
Do not cut yourself, purge until you are sure that insulin comes cheap.

Hello rose,

First of all I would advise you that in case of doubt, you never injected a dose "just in case" .., you wait a little (at 45 minutes or at the time you can check if you have put the insulin or not) and not the insulin)You act accordingly, it is always better to rectify with insulin than to alleviate the effects of an "overdose."

As for the feathers, my experience is limited to the one I use with the slow (alone), for the rap:), what is true that more than once, if the inner needle of the needle has been crooked or has not correctly drilled the road produces those "symptoms" that you have observed, if so, as soon as you change the needleAnd you make the maneuver correctly the thing is solved, if not you only have to use another pen in case you talk about the disposables.

Greetings!

Hi Rosa, I also use Novorapid and the truth is that I have never noticed anything, well, as Juan Luis says, to vecer purges and nothing or very little comes out, but I still insist on the purge until the splash comes out, theSometimes I need, but I have never had to throw any.

Hello!Well I just told you the story with my pen.It turns out that on the second day of using it and at work he stopped working and did not expel a dose of insulin.

It looked perfectly that the mechanism had broken. The above that is dosing, I do not know if you understand me, what is seen how the insulin level is going down as it is spent.Total that I found without being able to put my breakfast dose, luck that I need very little and I arrived quite well at noon, forgiving the apple that about mid -morning.

Well this is my third week with insulin and you don't see what I have already had to learn.Good luck of this forum to consult and be able to receive quick responses when you are worried.

Greetings and thanks
