Those doctors

DiabetesForo's profile photo   04/25/2008 6:23 a.m.

I open this thread so that we can count our experiences here with doctors, both good and bad.

It turns out that yesterday I met a well -known gypsy mine, Maite, who has diabetes, I suppose what type 2. Maite, although some more appears, I do not think he is even 40 years old.He had gestational diabetes with his third daughter and since then is diabetic.Whenever we see each other, we chatting for a while. She asks me for Celia and tells me things.Well yesterday I got angry, not with her, but with the doctor who carries her, who is a traca:

Maite told me that he was not right, that he had high sugar. How high?I asked him.Well, two hundred, or two hundred and peak. But after eating?Nooo, fasting in the morning, which is when I sent me to measure myself.

My mother, and hasn't it changed to insulin?Well no.He told me that as long as I didn't have three hundred, I didn't worry.

The mother who p !!!!

I told him that it was very dangerous to walk with those figures already fasting. That he asked for a steering wheel for the specialist and that it was clear that with the pills it was not enough. He told me that she was not worried about puncturing, because she already did it in pregnancy, but that the doctor did not give importance to the two hundred on an empty stomach.

Total, I asked him to seriously changed as a doctor, because that unpresentable was going to leave her shit.

These things take me out of what. How can a doctor say that with two hundred and fasting nothing happens? It is to report it.What a bad milk.

Well, health!

I have a good one, when I got married and I moved to me in the end of the specialty center of Quintana (Madrid), I had not passed through the endo for a mess that my header had.
Total that after doing the analytics I go by consultation and the nurse did not find the results, I sat on the looked and told me, I do not need the analysis I see that you are fine, you have fattened (it was the first time that I was going) you haveGood appearance, then Peoping and put my fingers under my ribs and dressed me, so he told me that I had the inflamed liver and made me an echo of the liver.I left the consultation and the nurse told me I already have the analytics, says the doctor that you can leave that you are very good, I see my hemo 7.9 (the worst of my life).I looked at her and told her but I am fatal ... and she told me now, but he says no.

By the way in the liver nothing happened to me

When I started to monster diabetes symptoms and I still didn't know that I had it, I went to the header because I didn't find myself well, I had dry skin, I was always tired, I had lost a lot, etc ...

I explained all these symptoms to my doctor, and after a conscientious in -depth analysis on his part (that is, 3 minutes), he explained his theory about the case, namely: I had a combination of allergy and nerves ...

For what prescribed skin creams, anti allergic pills and something else I don't remember ...

You should have seen his face, when 2 months later, I appeared again (this time already with the diabetes diagnosis in his hand) ... and we had the following conversation:
Me: "You remember that I came because I was tired, losing weight, etc ... ??)
"Yes, of course, allergy and nerves ..."
Me: "Well, it was diabetes .... (uncomfortable silence)"

In life I had seen anyone make recipes like this !!! ... I didn't see or pass the leaves !!!!! ... hahaha

Anyway, now I laugh ... but at the time it was not so funny.

Greetings,
Fer.

I also took Angela to her pediatrician 3 times before debuting, on dark circles (that's obsession, she told me).Angela's dark circles reached her feet ... because it smelled your breath to rotten apples (an acetone that shits down the leg below), according to her were throat bows ... and by dry skin and white spots inThe legs (as he did not give symptoms, told a MIR that was passing pediatrics at that time and told him if he did not send a proof of I do not know what ... in short, he comforts me that we could never have prevent diabetes,And also that his debut was not traumatic, he debuted with 213 in an fast, very thin, with a lot of hunger, a lot of thirst, many dark circles, but I fought, we got rid of a comma or a serious situation ....
Anyway, without comments ..... now I'm consulting, he asks me, it seems that he knows something, but shit is what he knows ....

Huy, fer, that nerves how it sounds to me.

Celia was 8 years old, and began with the symptoms that we all know very well: a lot of thirst (she lived stuck to her water bottle), a lot of hunger and then the food did not enter; He lost 9 kilos in a month;dark circles, fatigue ...
The fact is that his pediatrician, who is magnificent, was low, and the substitute insisted that they were nerves because we were moving from home.

He did not do any proof on his finger, although I commented that, if not because there was no family history, I would think that Celia was diabetic, because he was drinking all day.

With the nonsense of the nerves, it had us entertaining until in the end Celia ended up in the ICU of the hospital in coma.Three days of UCI and one month in the plant it cost him the joke.

Anyway, greetings

Ahhhggg How incompetent loose, Javi's pediatrician when we were telling him the symptoms he had and that my husband had a diabetic sister, he told us that "it was impossible that he sent us the analysis, but that if the child had diabetes he would already be admitted to the UVIA week for a week, "an analyst friend with a little urine of the child told us" going to emergency right now ", that day I ended up in the maternal.

Those!Doctors ........ I have a few.From the first to the last .......
Starting with the pediatrician who diagnosed her gastrontonteritis when she was diabetes, like most of us, although her arrogance is led to deny the syringe we needed only to "scare ourselves."Following the pediatrician who was urgently and played "to see if I can solve it looking at an acting protocol that I have seen in Interneeeeet", without having children's performance team in the hospital for an emergency.Continuing for a team of diabetologists who put insulin guidelines to an 8 kilos baby as if it were ...... I continue. The second pediatrician, as soon as I said that Nyah was a diabetic replied that she was not able to take the girl.Another endocrine pediatrician who refuses to facilitate diluted insulin that was the one that we had prescribed because they took us in another hospital and reaching the last, which says that 55 gr.It is not a ration of cooked pasta, which he will weigh at home ....... and all this summarized, another day I tell the details.

Beky ... and you wouldn't finish counting !!!With everything you have happened !!
Well, I one of my bad experiences with my "great" (as I said once, is symbiosis of "stupid" + "endo"), it was when after using insulin mixture, in the consultation he told us that we could go toThe feathers, without explaining anything else, went with the recipe to the pharmacy and once at home, reading the instructions, I did not understand how that could be injected.Impotent I called another mother with whom the association had contacted me in case I needed to comment with her, when I explained what was happening to me, she stayed: Evil :, and explained that I needed the needles that would give me in the center ofhealth. There the nurse with all the patience and indignation for the behavior of the great explained to me everything in a lot of detail.
Imagine how I felt.

Well, if there are stupids for the world !!!!!!!!!!Noe's is too.It is true that from the first day "he wore" with the treatment, but since then he has not made any review, when they have given him the hypos at night without putting insulin said that "scientifically he has no explanation, Madam, her daughter is very rare"And to top it off, when I tell her the fear that the hypos at night give me, because she did not notice, she told me" I do not worry, her daughter will not happen to anything because we all have a guardian angel. "You see, great things (that's fine).

Let's see, it seems to me that there is more a doctor of the same school, I say it because the former header before deciding on a miserable analytical and hitting the diagnosis, you determine that my symptoms were because of the fault of thestomach (nerves, but to the stomach..je) so ranitidine to singing and gastroscopy..glub, glub, x

Uffffff, the headers ... mine knowing that I had a gestational and that I was losing weight, and drinking a lot ... (although the truth that was Julio and we were 40 degrees in the shade), nor did it occur to him thatIt could be diabetes, it had to be the substitute, as soon as I took my history I told him what happened to me, immediately made me happen to the infirmary to make me control ...

Not to mention at the beginning of the diabetes that changed my insulin and ended up in urine with glucosado serum of the continuous downturn ... because I am not because I had many descents, I change my insulin and instead of putting 20 units a day (it is asay) it goes and puts me 40 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Endo is another song, having a 10 hem has not stopped until I have lowered it, he has seen me every week, then every 15 days, now every 20, we are very happy with her.

I, two endos, one already retired who did not know that there could be types 1 adults, so while I was with him type 2 ... Ah, we have believed them that I did not even know that they existed. And the second very well, that yes, I have to admit that I am a "great" patient, so much of his "being a good end" is my merit, okay?

Hello Amí I have happened to me several things, first the internist does not control me and always had the sugar between 250 and 300 so he told me, do not worry you are something special for you your normal level is 260 that does not go down or go up :(.

Another one that happened to me one day I entered the emergency room with vomiting and diarrhea and there were several doctors and they lifted my foot until I hit my chest and hurt me (they never did cursed studies), and I hurt it and I said that if I never thoughtThat saying if it is because I was already going to surgery and I took my appendix, I thought that it was but the days I remained the same with vomiting and diarrhea and I told them that I was still the same and that the appendix was normal (because they gave it to me) and they only stayed serious and after a while they don't worry, it didn't work for anything can eat Chile.
Well and as I continued with diarrhea because I didn't want to go to the bathroom and endured me and gave me a very ugly pain and told the doctors and they already wanted to operate not I know that :( but I did not leave myself and told them why.

It was 10 days in the hospital for their nonsense, doctors should not believe all that I checked.

It makes me waiting with me.

Then I tell you the others that have happened to me.Bye

I really, so far I have not had problems with doctors.

It is true that when I went I already knew it was diabetic.

After drinking 15 liters a day and urinating 20 times a day (and I don't exaggerate) I thought something happened to me, I consulted the Internet and I saw that they were diabetes symptoms.A friend, diabetics, measured me and in the glucometer appeared high ... (more than 600).

So totally well and calm , I went to the emergency room and when I saw the doctor, totally normal, he tells me that "it happens to you", "because I have nothing 600 of sugar "The doctor's face was ..... He did evidence and nothing confirmed everything.

They treated me in a debut unit, almost every day I was (about 3 weeks) with the doctor and the nurse, an exquisite treatment, and nailed my treatment .

Then I passed with the endocrine (once every 4 months) and the very good treatment too, always analytical, constant concern and offer to go whenever you want.

In Head MedicShe has to treat someone who goes without knowing what she has .......

The truth, I can't complain. But, there are "bad" doctors who can do a lot of harm.

All the best.

Well in these 11 years that I have been with diabetes, I have gone through everything, good doctors and bad doctors ... more than one would have to have taken a complaint or retire directly.

The problem of this is that we all said I had to have denounced ... it was to denounce it ... but it is not done and the doctor so campaign to continue fucking the life of people. I have not had any situation like that, but ifI have one day a day, I am left calm until I denounce, not because of me but for the one who comes behind.

Helloaaaaaaa,
I will count my experience with my header doctor, before my debut with diabetes.
In the review of the curro in February I got a possible infection of urine, in March I went to where my header and told me to repeat the analysis, well, at the end of the month I will see the results and tells me that there is noinfection, after Holy Week I return and commented on the symptoms I had: I drink a lot of water, blurred vision, loss of weight, and asks me, urinate a lot?Yes, of course, I drink 4 liters of water, not for not, and it tells me because you have an infection of urine, and it gives me antibiotic, and I ask him?And what does urine infection have to do with the loss of sight? It is for fatigue, me: shock :: shock:
I go to the pharmacy for the antibiotic, I comment and stay: Shock: I super fly, I take the antibiotic 4 days, and not seeing any improvement and as I was worse every day I went for emergencies.
There are doctors who are incompetent, I was with clear symptoms of diabetes, I am in the doctor, who is supposed to know
When I got out of the hospital and I went to the ambulatory to deliver the entrance report, I stayed in paintings, and asked me to forgive, that I felt a lot, if I felt a lot but I committed an imprudence that could have cost me expensive, if I had moreLights the day I went, I would have saved me a few days of being bad, and I would not have risen with such glycemia
All the best,
ANN
