Today it happened to me.
I have a very cold and I have barely had dinner, no carbohydrates, I only put on the Toujeo and after half an hour it dropped from 150 to 60 and plummeting downwards, I had to drink 2 cold Cokes because the sensor and the glucometer already read 50. And I was very dizzy.
With the cold and neck pain, the half-digested dinner, the paracetamol, the Coca-Colas and everything, I have been very upset.

If you fixed it with two Cokes and you didn't get a high afterwards, you fixed it very well.
I read somewhere that paracetamol altered the measurement of the sensors....but if you were dizzy it would be real hiccups.
Get well soon.
Hija de 35 años , diabética desde los 5. Glico: normalmente de 6 , pero 6,7 la última ( 6,2 marcaba el Free)
Fiasp: 4- 4- 3 Toujeo: 20
Yeah.But I had a good scare.
The glucometer also told me 50, and I also notice it in my eyesight, the screens, I start to see them wrong when I am low on sugar. And when I was walking down the hallway, I didn't even know where I was, I quickly started drinking the Coca-Colas.At first I resisted because of the cold and neck pain.
It seems like we always have the downturns at the worst times.

What a scare!Lucky that you came back easy... I hope you get better soon, this time is typical of catching one cold after another 😅🤦🏻♀️
It's hard for me to recover, they tell me it's due to digestion, although I don't understand it because the gels are supposed to start to be absorbed by the mucous membranes... I've been on insulin for a while and in this time I've never had any depression with toujeo but I'm scared after reading you 🫤.They told me to put it on my legs, they didn't tell me anything about my buttocks or arms: abdomen for fast and legs for slow and that it doesn't matter that I'm so thin, they can't inflate...

The same thing has happened to me with Lantus, Tresiba and Apidra, and with the glutes, abdomen and legs. And all of them with 4mm needles.I would say that it is impossible to have punctured the muscle.
When I tell the endocrinologists, even showing them the brutal drop in the sensor graph, they tell me that it can't be, that that doesn't happen.
And yes, unfortunately it conditions you for the rest, because in the absence of detecting some factor that escapes me, the event seems random.

Did you bleed a little after the puncture? It is possible that a small part of the insulin was absorbed through a broken vein... I can't think of any other explanation, unless you had taken a rapid dose to lower a glucose spike.

Good morning, it has happened to me 3 times in about 6 years but with Abasaglar.Twice the puncture bled and the last time, about 4 months ago, it didn't bleed at all.
The truth is that it is quite difficult, especially because of the nerves you get when you see how your glucose drops at full speed.
