Hello everyone.My 11 -year -old son debuted a month ago.He is going to school and leading a daily life as normal as possible.To adjust insulin guidelines, although we have not yet found the right ones.;My soul splits.The truth is that from the moment we find out, I don't get it well.I do not sleep well, and I have lost 6 kilos this month of the nerves.I wanted to let off steam and know how other parents carry it.</s

@gino

It is normal that you are wrong, we have all had a very bad debut and if it is your son and it is small, it will hurt a lot.

but like everythingIn life, it will happen.Diabetes is not, unfortunately, but pain does.Everything will normalize and the diabetes will not occupy 100% of your head and that of your child and you will make life virtually normal..

I started in 1985, with 11 years.In a few months I make my 40 years of diabetes. & Nbsp;

I was lucky to have close An association of diabetics, which made summer colonies for diabetic children and other activities.There I saw that it was not the "unique" that was "bad", as that word hated.

In case it serves you, now I am 51 years old, Don Children and I have no complication derived from diabetes.Glucose control alone, he must be participated in the decisions and before you tell you, it will be the one that self -controls.Always with its & nbsp reviews;and its endocrine.

Being diabetic means, having a healthier life.And in the long run it shows a lot to have taken care.I just have to look at the rest of my school classmates.

I don't roll up anymore. & Nbsp;

Thank you very much, I imagine that if it is and it will be like that, although I imagine that it is soon, the child started well by clicking both to measure glucose and for insulin, but now it costs him, he complains and trembles his pulse, andhow does it look like a step back we get worse

Well, you have to prick the.When he gets used, he won't want anyone else to do it.I have taught to prick children who did not know the numbers, we loaded the insulin and they were punctured.

Here the problem is psychological.If you see that the thing does not improve, talk to the endocrine, or with the educator in the diabetes classroom.And if necessary, then take it to the psychologist and nothing happens.hard, for a child.

a lot of encouragement.

Not only happens to children. I cried every time I had to take glucose and put the insulin, with 41 years.

is normal. In the end, I bought a painless prick and smaller needles.I looked for less painful and well. & Nbsp;

you have to pass that stage.will overcome it.

I bought a prick with 7 levels of hardness, and use level 2.

The needles for children are 4mm, little ones that are not noticed.

where less hurts is on the sides of the abdomen and arms.For fast insulin. & Nbsp;

basal insulin always in the buttock, There does not hurt.

Hi Gino.My two children debuted with 3 years and 4 years and the first one was tremendous because we didn't know anything about diabetes or had any history in the family.And from goodbye we find him hospitalized for 10 days, receiving punctures every time with huge needles and with adult diabetologists who failed to control glycemia.It was tremendous.And the accumulation of information of coup overwhelmed us: different types of insulin, calculation of units, diet, exercise ... an equation too long to assimilate and it seemed to us that we were never going to take control of the situation.This was in 2008. But finally everything happened, we learned, we passed this condition and tried to explain to children that life sometimes has these things not so beautiful with which we have to learn to live together and that it is a good opportunity toforce us to be healthy and controlled.In addition, today there are endless available technologies that make control much easier.Think that they are going through the worst moment, but in a while they will be much better.You have to endure the storm, but like every storm, it passes.

much force! & Nbsp;

Hi Gino.My mother, already deceased, with 90 years still told me that if I was late, I went through her house to eat ... The fear of hypoglycemia is eternal and is spread.She lived several of mine.I started at four years, also without a known history but there were neither the glucometers, nor the continuous monitors, much less insulin bombs.There was also no internet or the aid forums like this.The only thing there were strips to measure glucose in urine, with the accuracy that could give you.

I have been diabetes for 54 years and I have passed through school, the Institute and He & Nbsp;studied at the university away from family home.I have a 17 -year -old son without diabetes symptoms and I have a quasi -normal life.The biggest physical problem that I have is the view, but with my age, diabetic or not, we all end with glasses, so that diabetes with basic care and periodic visits to the endocrine does not have to be a problem either for your child orFor you.Since I have a continuous meter (Dexcom G7) my wife sleeps calmly without waking up to tell me that I am sweating, the meter is the one that wakes me up if necessary, or at work (the school in case of your child) warns and takes aSupplement and voila, I, when it warns me that I am in 80mg/dl with an added sugar juice, which are 10 gr of HC, I follow the day without further ado.Continuous meters allow you from where you are to consult your child's glucose levels, and notify you also in case of hypoglycemia.controlled the situation.If I, with more archaic means until one years ago, I carry it without more complication, your child, who has just begun and has the current media and those that are to come, it will not be less, sure.P> mood

greetings, Manolo
