Hello everyone!
I have MUFACE type 1 diabetes and now I have gone to Social Security. For living work in Gerona.
The general medicine doctor has already visited me and I have referred to the endocrine, but they have not specified as long as it will see me.
For the purposes of supply of diabetic material, does anyone know how it works please? How long does the specialist take you?
Thank you

@Gia24: I have also made the same change as you.I live in the Balearic Islands. Here if you enter the patient's portal you can see the average waiting time planned to quote the specialist (endocrinology: about 49 days).
At the moment, ask for an appointment with the nurse of your health center. She will facilitate needles, maybe you throw, and if she has any sensor more surely she will give it to you.
In my community to have access to the sensors you have to go through the specialist first.ME bought two sensors to be calmer while I hope they quote me.

You can make an e-consult with your nurse from the "La Meva Salut" app.You tell him that you need needles, lancets and strips (indicating the glucometer or glucometers you have) and normally from one day to another they prepare them.

I also went from private insurance (Sanitas) to Social Security, and in theory my reviews would have to be every 6 months and have come to quote up to 9 months later ...
On one occasion I had controlled fatal diabetes with a fairly high glycosilada, they wanted to do the following review in 2 months instead of 6 (the doctor put it in the report) and they summoned me 5 months later instead of 2….All this in the Community of Madrid, I do not know how slow will go in other communities.
Other times they see me at 6 months nailed.
Regarding the material I go to my health center with the nurse and give me everything, and if there is no something they tell me to go in a few days, but there is no problem with that.
Of course, in Social Security they are not as given to you test as in the private, they make you 1 analytics a year and giving thanks, the rest of the time they look at me glycosylated with the puncture on the finger, which in Sanitas they did me analytical in each review (every 3 months approx) ...
That is my experience

@gala91 I changed from Toledo to Madrid and there is no color. The specialist sees me every 4 months, I have asked to delay it every 6, they always make me analytics of blood and urine.
The nurse calls me when the material arrives and the endocrine gave me her email to write it if something happens.
They take me from the FJD.I guess it depends on the hospital that touches you.
