Hello, I am new here and I am quite lost because nobody clarifies that it is happening to me, I tell you a little to see if someone can help me clarify something, in a routine analysis (being pregnant) I got the glucose elevated to 116 on an empTo 5.16 so they assumed that it was gestational diabetes although it was in the first quarter, unfortunately the pregnancy did not continue and after about 4-5 months, I returned to make myReason, they only tell me that it is weird because I am also a thin person who practices sport and eats quite healthy, someone has ever gone through this situation and could tell me what reasons there may be for that glucose elevated on an empty stomach?I have a glucometer that gave me in pregnancy and after eating at 2 hours I always get well below 120

There are many women who have gestational diabetes, and then they stay as diabetics for life. The pancreas suffers and does not provide you with all the insulin that you need.

It is not a very high value, the current threshold says that it is 70-110, simply takes care of carbohydrates intake and continues with your sport.

And of course, keep trying to be a mother.

Thank you very much for responding, if I had read that after gestational diabetes you can develop a type 2 but in my case it was never clear that it was gestational diabetes because I was only altered on an empty stomach, they told me they said they were investigating my case but then the abortion happened and when I returned they did not make me a fidHigher on an empty stomach (with the glucometer between 104-112) however when I have a good night in which I rest 8 hours without anxiety, my glucose is more or lessThere they can go the shots, say that I also have polycystic ovar syndrome but since I am thin either or take it into account, because there are no thin people with diabetes or insulin resistance, in short .... that I do not know if these levels of stress after the past are also going on to me in the glucose or it is something else, I will continue as you say you say the hydrates that I have been having a LOWAnxiety levels to see if that also improves. Thanks again!

@Briseida: You have concluded that stress and sleep little alter your glycemia and you are right because in those cases you generate hormones, such as cortisol, which make insulin not work properly. If it only happens when you are fasting it means that you do not have a resistance to generalized insulin and you are not diabetic.Take care and keep healthy habits that are recommended to the general population: good nutrition, exercise, good rest and out stress.

Thank you all for answering, I imagined that something had to do with this but when commenting on the gyneIn pregnancy it has to be below 95, I have always been a very nervous person the truth and before all this in the analytics I have never had the fasting glucose below 90, it has always been around 95, if I take into account that this was my "normal" glucose in an emptyI see quite complicated, that I get below 110 in the analytics right now I would be happy hahahaha at least all this glucometer has helped me to know what foods they feel "better" and which ones know me a little more after eating but of course on an emptyPolycysts have sent me inositol that the gine told me that it can also help with this theme of glucose but for now it seems that not much, hopefully everything is controlled and I do not go anymore, of course I will do everything in my hand, I will also stay for this forum to learn for sure I learn!😊

Hi Briseida,

I am type I diabetic, diagnosed in childhood, that is, I have been like that ...

I also have polyquistic ovaries and in this regard they told me that that only affected me that I was looking for pregnancy and it would be very difficult or, I didn't think about it and I was pregnant ...

When I spent time I checked that I am in the second case, because the first time I had a spontaneous abortion and soon I was already pregnant ... and my son is already 30 years old

As for glucose, something unusual happened to me, I used to have many hypoglycemia at that time and my son from the inside gave me his glucose so that I was fine ... at birth he had to connect it quickly to a glucose pump

The nerves affect of course and makes us crazy glycemia but, in my case my pregnancy was one of the moments but the most, calm and relaxing of my whole life (I took my walks through the park eating an apple ...)

I explain this to you to get an idea of how good everything was going to me: gyneco control - obstetrician, "straps" every two for three, food and glycemia, ... all perfect, all pregnancy.

Well I'm already rolling

I don't know if it will help you but my intention is that, explaining my case

That everything is doing very well and I with those levels of gyrus and fasting analytics would not worry too much;Control of time to time but, without obsessing ourselves ...

Mercè

@Briseida To be calm Mind the glucose before eating and 2 hours later, the glycemic profile is achieved. If you are in rank every time, I was very quiet, you are not diabetic.

Insulin is a hormone and is altered with everything: virus, stress, tiredness, nervousness, menstruation, menopause, ovulation ... A horror.

Try to rest, sometimes you have to deceive the brain, with some placebo pill such as melatonin or relaxing infusion.

Poliquistic ovaries hinder pregnancy.I met many girls in my fertility treatments with this syndrome. They achieved pregnancy, with patience and without decaying in each attempt.

You have a good nutrition and quality of life, surely you can get pregnancy soon. You can also make an appointment in the SS for fertility, sometimes, that relaxes stress a lot and is achieved.
