Insulin bomb and teachers

Hello again!

I have doubt again whether to put insulin bomb or not.I am not convinced by going with tubes, but there are days that are impossible for me, having to control the peaks that are produced by the phenomenon of Alba and from which it is in the afternoon, frustrates me a lot.In the background I know that for this it is better bomb.

The issue that the tubes do not convince me is basically because I am a child, and for a few years, I am also a teacher of children with special needs, so that entails (blows, grabs, having to run, throw you to the ground, hugs ♥ ️ ...).

I would like to know if there is someone who is in my situation and tells me their experience whether it carries it as if in the end it was not encouraged (or in a situation).

Thank you!

T1 diagnosticada a los 24, tengo 32.
Además soy celiaca y con muchas alergias e intolerancias alimentarias, entre ellas profilina. Recientemente diagnosticada con hipotiroidismo también.

Hi @niñaburbuja!😊

I understand you perfectly, what a responsibility you have with the kids!

And also with hugs, races and unforeseen events of the day to day ... I think it is very normal for you to worry about the topic of the tubes.

I've been with the YpSopump bomb, and the truth: I'm very happy.

Yes, it is a bit more uncomfortable to wear than the bolis, I will not deceive you, but I also tell you that the change in the control of my levels has been brutal. What I value most is that it makes small automatic corrections depending on glucose, and that has made the difference, especially in the Alba peaks and in the afternoon, which you mention.I also had those ups and downs that deranged me, and with the bomb they have improved a lot.

In addition, it is a fairly discreet and manageable bomb.Perhaps in your case you could explore placement options (as in the lower back or thigh) to minimize the risk with the kids, which we already know that they have high impact hugs 😄

Hopefully you are encouraged, but above all, that you make the decision that best suits your life. And if you have more doubts, here we are for what you need 💙

A strong hug, and thanks for sharing your experience.

Is there anyone else that this dilemma has been raised or who is already using bomb with children around?

Surely your message helps many!
